Has anyone found mistakes within the books? If so, paste them here.

(Ex. In the first book Percy tells Harry that Snape has been after Quirrel's job for YEARS. [That means more than one for you gryffindors], but in the sixth book after one of Dumb-as-a-door's lessons he says that after he denied Voldemort teaching DADA, no teacher has stayed for more than one year at the position. Did Percy lie or did Dumbledore tell a half-truth AGAIN.)

 

Dumbledore and his war policy.....he fought in 3 wars, voldemort 1st and 2nd rise as different wars, yet he belives a boy with no training will kill the greatest dark lord in years with only the power of love.
Mad eye for going along with Dumbledore when he also fought in the same wars.

The fact that Harry did, according to Rowling, see his parents death, but also Cedric, and every animal or bug he's seen killed didn't allow Harry to see Thestrals, This still ignores Rowlings amended rules for the requirements to see Thestrals. He saw his parents death, and it HAD to have sunk in by the end of year 3. He had to have squashed a bug. Even if I applied the unspoken presumed rule that the death must be of a human, and I accept that somehow the time from the 3rd task to the day he left at the end of 4th year wasn't long enough for the death to set in, her rules still don't change that it doesn't add up.

This is less an error, and more of a 'it defies all acceptable laws of common sense': Harry had a present from his Godfather, who he loved, and never opened it? That makes no sense.

There's plenty more that bugged me, especially after OotP, but I can't recall them atm.

Oh...okay then. I'm not all that huge on any of the Black family pairings, and especially not with all of them together. That's turning into one really crappy cliche that I can do without. But I suppose the best would be a well-done Harry/Bella, not that any such fics exist. I find that I don't like Tonks very much in general. Narcissa's okay, if only for it really pissing of gay-ass Draco.

Werent Lily and James both prefects then head boy and girl but then in book 5 it was remus who was the prefect? and correct me if im wrong but can you be head boy without being prefect? of you can then im just yappin at the mouth. I may be wrong in what i read also.

 

Rowling said you can be head boy/girl without being a prefect, even though its a stupid system in and of itself

 

There is the timetable thing in 3rd year, why the heck would the teachers create a timetable that forces you to use a timeturner.

The REAL Time Turner Plot Hole, is why she is just as developed as the other girls her age in the following books. She should have a years head start on them due to the time turner.
