    Goddamn.

This is why Breaking Bad is the best show on television.

The interaction between Hank and Walt at the end was great acting.

Also, Lydia running a drug operation? Am I the only one who laughed at the thought of how catastrophic that will turn out? Honestly, I'm surprised Walt isn't worried she'll end up getting caught and rat him out for a reduced sentence.

P.s. Has anyone ever come across this? Just an interesting little thing.

Also worth checking out is Better Call Saul.

    Favorite scene in the episode:

Badger and Skinny Pete's Star Trek conversation.

I was worried that the conversation was going to get cut halfway through, good ending .

A fantastic episode and a return to form. I cannot wait for next week!

Brilliant episode. I love how Jesse clearly doesn't believe anything Walt's telling him anymore.

Also: Someone animated Badger's Star Trek script. Already.

Felt like this one was unfortunately a bit filler-esq. Or maybe I just have a rabid dislike for Skyler and Marie. Take your pick.

Still, this is leading up to one of the things I've looked forward to the most in this season - the Hank + Jesse conversation. I like how Hank seems to always view Jesse the same way, despite how much his character has changed. I can't wait for that moment of dawning realization when he finally understands how far Jesse has gone from that jackass in Season 1.

I liked it. The confrontation at the end of the previous episode was great, but to see Hank and Walt start to manoeuvre against one another was really interesting.

I liked the burying of the money; it's another step towards making him a legend. I'll bet that money stays there until after the show has ended, and tales will be told of Heisenberg and his buried treasure, like he's an old pirate captain. The decision to bury it shows how Walter is very much buying into the myth of himself. In a way he's right - whatever happens, Heisenberg won't be forgotten for a long time.

By the way, the Breaking Bad Insider Podcast is required for anyone who likes the show and has an interest in how it was made. Editor Kelly Dixon and Vince Gilligan himself host and go through the making of each and every episode, with guests from the cast and crew. It's not often we're given such unhindered insight into how something as great as Breaking Bad was put together.

Good point with the buried treasure bit - that's a very interesting way of looking at things. I agree that it's cool to see Hank and Walt begin to maneuver against each other, but I still feel like the middle of this episode was mostly about Marie and Skyler.

I actually haven't listened to that podcast, thanks for the heads up.

I am dead-set on thinking that the six barrels of money and the burial part were further references to Don Rosa's Scrooge McDuck burying his gold in Klondike and the fortress with the eight barrels of money in Duckburg. Now that's a real legend. In both instances Scrooge seemed to be at the top of the world, but that didn't stop him from growing further.

It might not apply to Walt, but I'm seriously hoping Heisenberg has some fight left in him.

Feels like it's a little early for Jesse to figure things out and go nuts but then I remember there's only 5 episodes left before it's all over.

Definitely a solid episode, best of season 5 thus far and that tape... Someone called it, just not to that degree. I knew watching this show in preparation for the final half of season 5 instead of waiting for it to finish and then binging on it was a mistake.

Well damn. Walt just owned Hank big time. Thing is this whole thing will show Hank's true character. Is he interested in doing whats right? or is his rage at walt simply because Walt has basically been making a fool out of him and catching him will be his form of revenge?

Loved how Skylar was somehow trying to get rid of the money by giving people extra change, just like Jesse but in a more subdued way, plus it doesn't draw attention.

Also how ominous was that shot of Walt telling Skylar its alright when he's in darkness?

I'm really rooting for Jesse. A little disappointed he didn't go start he's new life, he deserves it. But him discovering what Walt did was awesome and I'm completely rooting for him. Just hope that he decides to be more clinical in his vengence and not burn down the house but bring down Heisenberg. He's the only character in this show who knows Walter white best.

I think she simply made a mistake with a change because she was distracted, not because she was trying to get rid of the blood money or whatever. Jesse's breakdown was caused by his direct involvement in all those things that Walt and he did that weren't bloodless and victimless, but Slyler never knew or participate in any of that. She only knows what Walt told her about it and that wasn't much. Her previous outbursts had nothing to do with her sense of guilt.

Besides, if she's consciously trying to get rid of all that money through extra change, then somebody should tell her that it will take a century or so for that to do the work.

Great episode, by the way. It's kinda poetic that Jesse will probably be essential for Walt's downfall when most of the shit that happened could've been avoided if only Walt wasn't trying so hard to keep Jesse alive.

Nah just look at her reaction when the guy tells her she gave him extra change, she doesn't seem surprised she even kind of sarcastically thanks him for his honesty. Plus Skyler has been feeling guilty since they made the tape its why she seemed so despondent during the episode(just like Jesse).

Dunno, I'm watching that scene right now and my sarcasm radar is not detecting anything unusual. Just a regular interaction with a customer. And as for her lack of surprise, I think she's just distacted by what's on her mind right now.

No, no, the prime motive behind her actions in these last few seasons is always fear. Fear from Walt, from his associates, enemys...And now fear from Hank, his next move and what will it do to their idyllic little life and family. She doesn't feel guilt for filming the video, she's more concerned it won't work.

I was waiting for that to happen during the whole last scene, but I wasn't sure it was going to... But when it did, so intense. And yeah, I'm being incredibly vague, but spoiler tags are no fun.

I think this gives us a clue as for why Walt bought/will buy M60.

    Horse shit.

No fucking way they didn't kill Hank right away. Multiple automatic weapons and multiple times where he was almost fully exposed. Not realistic at all

Suspension of disbelief. When has any film/show ever not made everyone have terrible aim except when it suits them?
