Suspension of disbelief only goes so far. This was just ridiculous

I was actually pleased with the way they ended the last episode. It would have been too easy for it to just close with the stand-off, also stereotypical. Having the episode end with Hank and Gomez pinned down is preferable. You're right in that it's incredibly strange neither of the two went down. I expected Gomez to get killed and Hank to barely make it to cover myself.

We'll see what happens in a few days I guess.

That phone call, those tears. Fuck. By the 20-30 minute mark, I thought there would be some sort of redemption here, with him teaming up with Jesse, whom he saves from being killed, and going after the neo-nazis for what they did to Hank. But... well, fuck.

Yup, I caught that. Somebody in a reddit posted a comparison of how Gus and Walter cried. It's interesting.

I like how Walt absolved Skyler of any responsibility for his actions at the end there. Very savvy.

I just love how this show ties up the loose ends. It was never about the money or his family. I mean sure, he would never go this far if it wasn't for that, but in the end that's just pure rationalisation. What makes Walter White tick is that feeling he was meant for the greatness and then someone, somehow robbed him of that and stuck him with the average life he was living. All that anger, that's his fuel.

I swear. The entire time I was desperately hoping that he would see Andrea's death mentioned in the paper or something and that would somehow galvanize him to act, but no. Nope.

You really think he's going to get even slightly redeemed at this point?

Walt is going to burn the world to the ground.

    Then probably himself.

    Can't wait.

Walt is going to kill the guys who are keeping Jessie prisoner, rescue Jessie, then get killed by him.

Can't wait for the big reveal that the last five seasons have been a prequel of Malcolm in the Middle!

Usually I get tired of the same old joke a hundred times, but I honestly love that one so much that I can't begrudge anyone for reminding me of it again.

Also, yeah, great episode, the episode of Talking Bad was my favorite this week (been watching all of them, despite not liking the host very much). This week's episode had Adam Scott, Brian Johnson, and the actor who plays Badger.

That was the biggest pile of shit, on top of the turd that was this last season.

On topic though, a fantastic episode. Jesse saw the consequences of his actions, Todd the creepy arsehole just wants a little loving, and White's acceptance then anger at his position in life.

    I hope it's a long, last episode!

Make sure to watch the after show online. It goes on for an extra 15 minutes without ad breaks.

Ok so personally I'm pretty sure I've got this ending nailed down after catching up over the last few months as well as the more subtle trends in recent media, I'll put this in spoiler tags just in case I'm right.

Walter sets his family up for life outside the country, then moves to the other diagonal of the country (Maine) and becomes a lumberjack for the rest of his life after faking his death.
