Wow totally missed this thread. None of you probably have any idea who I am - but I've been lurking for something like four or five years now. Weird to think I was still in highschool then. Anyway - cheers DLP, you're awesome. Please continue to be so.

    Fuck yeah :)

Everyone needs to celebrate just how awesome DLP is and how awesome of a community we have here. Palindrome has it right - it's the only forum worth visiting anymore for me.

I've had such good times on this forum. Granted, it's been only a bit over four years, but man, good times. I still remember when I was a complete newfaq, and was actually afraid of posting, because if it wasn't a relevant and intelligent post back then, you'd get fucking punched in the dick. Repeatedly. It sure was a good change from those retard spam forums.

Anyways, fuck, DLP is awesome and this thread made me donate.

I was still in my twenties when I first joined.

Looking back on it all, I think I've come up with a new slogan for the site...

DLP: There are worse ways to waste time.
(not many, but they do exist)

:awesome Seriously, though, I've thoroughly enjoyed the time I've spent on this site. Who knows, were it not for the venting I've done in the various peeves threads, I may have popped a gasket by now.

And, were it not for DLP, I'd have never written a 151-word, wholly alliterative, abomination. I- I'll put that in the plus column.

Here's to DLP, and another seven years. [IMG]

Happy Birthday, DLP. Though I don't visit as often as I used to, it's good to see some things stay constant.

The DLP community got me into writing, fanfiction or otherwise. I suspect I'm not alone.

Trivia: 1600 days exactly since I joined.

Definitely the best forums I've ever seen, let alone joined. It's not that the administration is lax, so much as they're real people (and funny people at that).

    Except Vash.

Ah, glorious DLP. Without you, I... would probably be a better person... Wouldn't have had near as much of a good time. How much time I waste here was seriously put in perspective when I lost internet back in November.

    God I miss having internet.

Cheers guys. May the next seven be even better then the last.

    Happy Birthday DLP!

You have been a long time in my life, I hope I can one day introduce my child to DLP after I read to them Harry Potter and Dresden Files.

Stay young and strong forever more!

He turned 10 a few months ago, perhaps a little young still. (Besides, kids seem more into Hunger Games and Percy Jackson than Harry Potter).

The YA rating and the prospect of a love triangle was always slightly discouraging to me, but I refused to watch the movie as well to keep my options open

After many positive reviews I've nearly convinced myself to read the books. Or rather put them on my to-read-shelf. We'll see.

Jeez, I almost wouldn't be surprised at this point if a couple of DLPers got hitched or something. Can you say internet wedding?

Certainly an impressive community we've got here.
