Thats true, but remember, he went to sleep previously because he was lonely, and didn't see a purpose of living the rest of his life doing nothing. Even after River has been helped out, and he finds the truth about the wizards, he still has a group of friends that can keep him from being lonely, and he still has this large empire that Harry sees as being evil.

Sure thats true, could always have an epilogue that is set a few decades in the future when the last of the crew dies and he then goes to sleep.

It's a nonjon story. You pull out the most random stuff, and once in every hundred or so guesses, it will turn out right. :D

Great chapter as usual. I particulary liked that harry has stunned bead/simon because he dident want Simon making a scene despite being a bead.

A question, the ship stopped working because of the high levels of magic right?

An excellent story so far. I never thought that a cross-over cold be done this well and smoothly. Most cross-overs tend to hash badly, but nonjon, you did an excellent job here.

Nice chapter. I finally get the hints about Harry's magic resisting all foreign invasions - that's probably how he had kept his magic (or will keep, once he gets down on Earth).

Yup. I sort of exagerrated the effect in Harry. But it's part of the reasoning I came up with when I was brainstorming on how the HP world of the present could turn into the Firefly world of the future. It's a way to explain why wizards live longer too.

Giving magic a sort of sentience and desire to continue to exist and live. That's why wizards are healthier and live such long lives, the magic in them doesn't want to die either.

As for the reason, the ship stopped... hmm... you think it's the high-levels of magic? Okay. I won't be mean, since it comes out right at the start of the next chapter. Yes. I'm working off of what Hermione said in GOF chapter 28. Not the fanon concepts of magic mixed with technology. Simply because most fanon interpretations would make a technology-filled future into frustratingly impossible oppostion with their opinion of the workings of magic.

Excellent chapter! But you're evil for the cliffhanger, even if it was a less evil cliffhanger than before.

yes, very mean cliffhanger, but I guess you got a point when saying that you could have stopped 5 paragraphs ago.

    Great Chapter by the way.

Loved the new update, and the ending with the...you know what I mean.

I was slightly worried that you would have Harry find the wizarding folk right away, and the fact that you haven't has calmed me greatly.

    Keep up the good work.

Sorry for the double post...but it has been a couple of days.

    Nice work!
Never predicted THAT outcome of this trip at the end of the chapter.

    P.S. I love Fawkes

Once again a great chapter. It was a amusing way for the goblins to survive. It was nice to get some more background on what happened on earth.

Liked the new chapter, and appreciated the way that you 'didn't' have all the Goblins bowing down to Harry as a god. I thought you caught there behavior in the story very well.

Goblins bow to no one. But they have always been clever. You don't hear about any other species 'rebellions' or running the economy. They're smart. And if any species could figure out a way to survive, it was bound to be them. Far more likely than the pureblood-minded wizards staying behind.

I just had to go and make it real difficult on them. And slip in a number of further clues for figuring out what's happened to wizards.

And I liked the balance of horrible truths you've partly always known and had to accept, with happy surprises.

Not sure how I ended with yet another cliffhanger. I think it's just something I do unconsciously now. Completely unintended. Though I will admit, they drive up the number of reviews and offer fun guesses at what's going on.

What can be on this ship? Hm... Excellent goblins in your story. Can Fawkes travel from planet to planet? Can he survive in the space?

Fawkes is immortal(well, phoenixes are supposed to be)...So I don't see a reason to be concerned with the phoenix, more worry should be placed on the Goblin.

Hooray for nonjon! The prologue intrigued me enough that I am actually going to watch the movie for a show I can't stand just so I can appreciate the characters in his story. LOL. Once I sit down and watch Serenity, I will finally read Browncoat, green eyes. Equal time is only fair...

Can't stand the show? Really? I can understand a casual viewer not being terribly drawn-in by it if you've only seen one episode and care very little for any of the characters, but to actively dislike it? Hmm... Don't hear that often.

But the show is very much more drama and humor as compared to the action and speed of events in the movie. So even without much interest in characters it's still a much better than average action sci-fi movie.

As for whether Fawkes can travel planet to planet? Or survive in space? Hmm... don't really know. I doubt Fawkes is itching to find out either. Seriously doubt the question will come up. And what's the worry over the goblin? He's not going to be going anywhere the humans don't go. Like say, outer space without a suit.

Some things are only meant to be learned by necessity. And risking your life just to find out would be a bit nuttier than even Harry's likely to try.

I’ve never watched the movie and the TV show and perhaps never will, but you gave the enough background to the story to understand the universe for people like me. I like the way you give cliffy in the chapters, making your readers crave for the next chapter. By the fact that you update constantly is a big plus.

    Keep up the good work.

    Excellent, Recommended!
