I'm looking for quality btvs or Angel fics. There is 3 things I'm really looking for in them.

Spike is the main/centric character
No slash (Willows fine)
Well-written. Cannon Spike. I don't want a pansy ass Spike.

 

So not canon?

 

The Spike I remember (mind you from the last season of Angel) wasn't a pansy lol. If you read some fics that are out there you'd know what I mean.

 

Donimo was poking fun at you saying cannon, instead of canon.

 

In the BTVS fandom Spike centric fic is most often romance centered around Buffy/Spike, which definitely has a tendency to write Spike more like his S5-S7 self (ie, a certain amount of pansy-assing) and less like his S2-S4 or AtS5 self. No real examples come to mind right now, but I find Spike is often better in bit parts than starring in a fanfic.

 

Buffy fanfiction. My specialty. Unfortunately, I didn't read much Spike fanfiction. But I think I can point you in the right direction. The important thing to know about the Buffy/Angel fandom is that it's not like the Harry Potter fandom where it's all at one central location. You will find broken links and stories taken down. That said, here's the best list I can give you.

Buffyversetop5 - sorted by character tag of Spike.

Better Buffy Archive- Impossible to sort by character automatically because the search function broke at some point, but character tags are in the summary.

Those two are your best bet. I can guarantee that most of the stories on there will be at least good. The rest of the list is more hit or miss.
