Besides, what you think their ages are doesn't matter when it's (a) fanon and (b) within the realm of possibility. It's not illogical to think that Narcissa is more than a year younger than Lucius.

 

My opinion on Harry/Narcissa - Harry/Bellatrix

Bellatrix:

Narcissa: Sister. Same genetics as ^.

Not attractive, and therefore should not be paired with Harry. Unless HP is hideously scarred & insane. Really, would pick one of them, given a choice between most of the other girls in the series.

 

Good lord, she looks fucking crazy. You're totally ruining my mental image of what they should look like.

 

Because around 15+ years in a prison filled with soul devouring monsters doesn't affect one's appearance. Not to mention lack of hygienic facilities.

 

I don't recall it mentioning anywhere in canon that it does change your appearance. It probably would, but it's not mentioned.

Though it is irrelevant. 1000 years of inbreeding does not generally produce attractive women. As the description of the Gaunts might have told you.

Really, even if she was smoking hot before she entered Azkaban, (lol) she looks like the picture above now.

On another note...

I'm fixated on H/Susan Bones. I'll admit to being sick to death of hearing how "I'm a Hufflepuff we have the work ethic of the ideal proletariat blah blah blah", but I really think there's potential for her to kick ass in a fight. I can just imagine her as a kid visiting her Aunt's office and learning how to run interrogations of hostile witnesses.

I'm actually slowly writing a one-shot based on this premise. Sadly, progress is very slow as I try to avoid cliches.

 

When I saw that pic of Lestrange I was glad for ... the 100th time that I stopped watching the fifth movie after ten minutes.

And I think the only canon fact about Narcissa is that she is blond, her eye colour and that she holds her nose like some animal died underneath it.

H/Luna... although there are many fans of that pairing, I wouldn't date the freak and Harry won't do so either (Alhough he did marry Ginny and named his child Albus Servus, so maybe he is a closet nutcase, you never know). That aside you don't date the freak with starry eyes, a radish and butterbeer fetish, who sees things.

H/Hr... I wouldn't date the bookworm either, maybe if she was hot, but she's got fuzzy hair and buckteeth and she is bossy too. So maybe wimp!Harry would, but wimp!Harry isn't a fic I read.(somehow ff made me really hate this pairing)

H/G... Well, I hate it. I've read them in the beginning. But after reading enough "twu luf" fics and the sickness that was DH, I press the little red X-button as soon as I read it.

H/Fleur... For the sake of this pairing I very often wish JKR would have stopped writing before the third task. "For she is the true babe!"
I hope I will ever get to start posting my stories with this pairing involved, but after having nearly 30 pages of plot lined out per story and not written more than a few pages per story that won't be anytime soon.

Harry/others... can be good, can be bad it always depends on the author and although it would be nice to see more Harry/chaser team fics and more fics were Harry is really in control of the relationship and not the little puppet of some badly self inserted fangirl(boy) I can't really complain.

 

What do you think prison is? Azkaban is definitely not one of the modern luxury prisons...
And remember how Sirius was described in PoA?

 

I've heard the average time it needs until the body ages prematurely (progeria) is 5-10 years in prison, so yeah after 15 years anyone would be ugly.

 

Neither can be trusted. There are too many inconsistencies. HP-Lexicon's information from Rowling herself puts Bella as starting Hogwarts in 62. Seven years puts Bella leaving in 69. Warlocke was right there.

With Narcissa as the child, she'd be out in 72.

Despite Rowling giving the information herself, canon fucks it all. At the very least, Lucius would have been a Seventh Year.

Not to mention all of the other info-fucks the book give with one another.

It's a hard find, but these days I'd rather that Harry be with an OC. It's not too big a world, yeah, but age doesn't delineate relationships as strongly as it does in the muggle world, so you have a much larger age group to choose from for a conventional relationship.

 

About whether or not Narcissa is pretty:

If we assume that she won't be wearing that look while having hot monkey sex with Harry, then yes, we can safely say Narcissa is hawt.

Uh, yeah, it is. In the Snape's memory, Sirius is described as "very good looking" . In PoA, he is described as having "a mass of filthy, matted hair hung to his elbows. If eyes hadn't been shining out of the deep, dark sockets, he might have been a corpse. The waxy skin was stretched so tightly over the bones of his face, it looked like a skull. His yellow teeth were bared in a grin. His eyes were fixed on Harry."

Doesn't sound very attractive to me.

As for Bella, in GoF, in the pensive trial scene, she is described as having " thick, shining hair and heavily hooded eyes, who was sitting in the chained chair as though it were a throne". This doesn't outright say she is attractive, but I think you can safely assume she is, as we have already deduced that Narcissa and Sirius are attractive, and that Tonks, her niece, is also attractive.

I'd personally be interested in seeing a Bellatrix portrayed as she is implied to be in the trial scene, without the fanatic devotion to Voldemort and the years in Azkaban. Regal, passionate, loyal, and batshit crazy.

Personally, I prefer fics that have man whore!Harry. There, I said it. I firmly believe that most people don't meet their soul mate in high school, and that people a number of relationships before they get married, if they ever do. I see no reason for the Wizarding World to be any different.

In shippy fics, I like Fleur best of all, and then in-character!Narcissa and Bellatrix, or even Andromeda. Lately I have been developing a distaste for Honks, just because of how deplorably Tonks is portrayed in fanon. I also really like Harry/Su Li, for no real reason.

I'd really like to see a decent Harry/Cho, with a Cho that isn't an emotional cripple and a Harry who isn't frightened to death of her.
