I'm in Sydney at the moment, sitting at a horrible computer, in my hotel.

An interesting thing happenedd tonight, apparently they do not have weight sensors in the elevators, so when 22 people (quite a few fat people) got in the elevator, it went down a floor, and got stuck. >__> It was quite stupid and ed me off. They didnt even read the ing notice on the wall IN FRONT OF THEIR FACES. I'm still ed. Gawd.

Sorry for any typos, its hard to type on this thing.

Question: Why is everything on the left side? EX: Buttons on the elevator are on the left, night stands are on the left. WHY?!!!

Cervy: From where I'm sitting i can see a sign for Darling Harbour. Its driving me nuts. =)

Talk to you all on the 29th. :)

Australia, huh? Sounds like fun. I've only been out of the country once, and that was to go to Germany to study a bit.

Accept it, it's the correct spelling ;p

Maybe because they have less fat people ;)

Oh, that elevator doesn't hold a candle to NYLF's elevator adventures. I'll paste what I said in IRC:

<Raven> One elevator on the last night...thirty people decided to jump at once.
<Raven> The cable snapped and the dropped six floors before the brakes kicked in and slowed them to a stop where they hit the springs at the bottom
<Raven> On the one I was on we were just leaving the fourth floor when two people decided to mosh and it stuck midfloor. There was enough of the fourth floor below that we could easily just hop out, and I took the stairs up a few floors and caught another elevator.
<Raven> Another elevator just malfunctioned and dropped them to below the parking level and stuck there. They were fed water and popsicles through the crack in the door.
<Raven> Once it was fixed it went back to the floor they were going for and they all got off and went to their rooms.

Wow...that's amazing. I believe that I counted 3 separate elevator malfunctions at the same time in the same hotel. If so...just...wow.

One of the girls tower elevators died a few days before too. But then again, moving 1200 students up and down day in and day out, plus them actively destroying it...

Oh it was fun. Just inconvenient at times. Usually the only time I travelled by the main building elevators was to go to sleep and then to return to the ballroom floor. I kept everything I needed with me.

Hehehe, I've only had one bad elevator experience and that was when I was stuck in between two fat people. It didn't go down or anything, but they were both sweaty and I needed a 45 minute shower to rid myself of the feelings of uncleanliness.

Enjoy the rest of your trip Cady -- even though odds are you won't read this 'til you get back.

You guy's are cruel. I did get stuck in another elevator that fell 3 floors before it stopped. >_< Theres this cheerleader here and she is a perfect example of dumb blonde. And she's driving me nuts.

We're going snorkling today, sadly theres a guy here thats obsessed with me. I just happen to be wearing a bikini. God help me. I'm actually in Cairns. ITS WARM, why wasnt I informed that is fucking cold here? I knew it was going to be cold, but not fucking 40 degrees like it was in melbourne. Gawd.

Raven: How'd that computer thing go?

Cervy: Whats with the Old Melbourne Gaol? And that whole Ned Kelly thing creeped me out.

I go home on Friday. Thank. God.

NYLF was great. Turns out my team for the Future Solutions project we had to do was incredibly cool and ended up becoming good friends. There were also some morons there (ie, ones that tried to mosh) as well as a quite a few airheads (such as MySpace kiddies). It was interesting nonetheless.

Glad you're having fun katherine =)

Raven I challenge you to murder more myspace kiddies then me. The site sucks and folks are insane with the profiles.

/me wanders off mumbling about clusterfucked cluttered webpages with horrible singers

I think several people were offended when some MySpace kid said "We should make a MySpace group and keep in contact." and I replied "I wouldn't be caught dead on MySpace. I'll set something a little less pathetic up."

A few whined at my description, but others found it hilariously funny.

Melbourne Gaol is where they hung Ned Kelly.

Ned Kelly was a famous bushranger that constructed a suit of armour to shield himself from bullets from the Police.

He was famous because of his defiance of the coppers :p
