As far as I know you are one of the only ones who liked CoD5. Zombies was the only good part about the game.

I was excited for this until I heard two things: Activision was going to release a CoD title every year, Activision was thinking about charging us multiplayer fees.

Hold up a fucking minute, does no one over there realize the stupidity in releasing a game that's multiplayer intensive every year thereby saturating the market, or are they too busy seeing dollar signs?

And I am not paying money to activision after I have a contract withnMicrosoft saying that I will be able to play every game on their platform online for a yearly fee. Someone pointed out that it's possible to sue them for this, along with EAs new strategy. MS needs to stop bending over for big publishers and do what they're supposed to: provide a unified service.

TL;DR: Activision sure as hell aren't going to get my money anymore fuck em. I might even switch to what I like to call PC activism, pirate your game and run down your servers without paying for it.

I already buy XBL to be able to play online. Dont want to get fucked over by yet another fee.

    (Lol get a psr3 fag?)

I also liked cod 5, brought back some old school shooting, every single rifle didn't have scope.

It's not activision I'm worried about though, it's Infinity ward who held the creative licensing and ideas for the stroy. However even if Activision gets it and gives it to someone else, I'm assuming that rights to the game includes rights to the storyline and multiplayer systems.

Its not that no one liked Cod5, its just that it wasn't as good as Cod 4, and was in WW2.... again.

I liked the game, but I just couldn't get in to it like I got into call of duty 4. And how could you not like zombie survival? That's what made the game worth 60 bucks for me. It was really fun, but only if you have a team of friends who know how to play.
Anyway I'm really looking forward to Cod7, hopefully it'll be good.

Nah you werent the only one. I loved World at War. Dogs were awesome, and I feel like I was one of the only ones who liked the tanks. Killing them too.

I thought CoD5 was a major step back, both in single and multiplayer. First, the single player campaign didn't offer anything new, just the same stuff in a slightly different environment. Fighting in the jungle and repelling Banzi charges was a gimmick, nothing more, and building most of a game around that gimmick sucked. Second, the characters were absolutely pathetic stereotypes, especially compared to Cod4, which had half decent characters. I mean seriously, the opening scene? The Russian guy? Multiplayer did add tanks, but compared to Cod1-expansion pack (whatever it's called), they didn't do it nearly as well. The tanks in Cod5 just seemed to get in the way, and didn't offer much enjoyment or strategic purpose.

While to some the single player is an important aspect of the Modern Warfare series, it is really short and only enjoyable on the first play through. Most people buy these types of games for the online, not the story. And tanks were fun, if you know how to use it, and how to blow them up.

The multiplayer was actually pretty good, if it was released before Modern Warfare, people probably would have liked it better.

A nice bump a few days from launch.

Figure I'd just leave this here for you people to take a gander at.

An hour of footage and commentary brought to us by the fine folks over at gamespot.

A nice look at a few of the maps and gametypes. Wager matches look interesting, and I'm excited to play them all (except for One in the Chamber, which I think will just annoy me) I've missed playing the GG so it'll be nice to have a go at it again.

If anyone else is planning on getting it at midnight I'd say we should get a few games going.

I'm going to the midnight release tomorrow night...for no other reason other than that they are giving away limited edition COD:BO toques to the first bunch in.

...Damn it I'm such a Canadian.

    EDIT: PS3
