I found and read this fic. It starts out well, even though the text is absolutely loaded with adverbs and a ridiculous amount of speech tags, not to mention the fact that the ever-dreaded speech tag/adverb combos are rampant. The literary faux-pas nearly ruin the story, even though the author is talented to a point. I was glued to it for many chapters, but it just kept getting worse and worse. Lucius and Snape were not believable most of the time, as they were so off-canon it was not even funny. Snape and Remus holding hands?? Snape hugging Harry, crying on his shoulder, and calling Harry his son? The story itself turned to shit right around the same time the author decided to insert graphic, absolutely revolting sex scenes between Harry and Draco. I barely made it through the first couple of these, and after that, I had to skip them. They were disgusting. The other ridiculous thing was that Harry and Draco were constantly making out in front of large groups of people. I think not. Totally out of character.

I could not get into this story, due mostly to the slash content. As I have glanced at 2 slash fics in my life and read half of one, I thought I should see if I could actually read it as a backdrop. I can't. At least when it's as crass as this. I was too disgusted to stay focused on the plot. It jolted me right out of the story. Personally, I don;t see the point in writing 62 chapters only to ruin most of them with this crap. Just my opinion.

I've tried to read slash but I cant' seem to get past it and it doesn't help like many have said, that most of the time it's An ultra weak ass pussy Harry who's emo.
I think that the only people who should write slash fiction are those who are homosexual or can write very well, not some dumbass fangirl who needs to see two guys getting it on.
When it comes to femslash I can read it as long as it's not the main pairing
I'm lean more toward heterosexual stories
