So I was clicked on the "Funny images" thread and found that more than half- nay, almost all the images were not visible on my screen.

I tried reloading and yet most of the posts were empty with the signature the only thing present.

Are any of you guys/ have any of you guys encountering/ed the same problem, and if so have you found a solution?

 

If you're looking at old posts it's possible the images have been dehosted.

Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing?

 

Most, if not all, of the images there are hosted on imgur. Try going to imgur.com, and look if images are visible there. If not, you've got a problem with imgur itself.

If you can see images on imgur.com, the next suspects are browser extensions, so disable all extensions and try again. Oh, and clear the cookies and cache of your browser, if you haven't already. If it still doesn't work with disabled extensions, try a different browser.

Could this issue be ralated to Imgur's newish policy on restricting direct access to mobile apps (i can't find a proper link to the discussion I read very recently, but it might be up to a year old)?

Are you using some app to view the forum, or just a regular chrome/whatever browser?
