I believe that this book isn't made for romance, it just screws it up. I mean, Harry has zero social skills and experience, the only reason a girl would want him is for his title, money, or to fix him up and leave him for someone with more cash.

But you are right Lady R, there is no way in hell that the book is built for any major type of Romance. Peripheral, yes... But JKR is NOT a good Romance writer, and should have known better than to make it a major theme in the 6th book.

I agree 100% with Lord Nemesis Black tho' given how she's pretty much used the last two books to bitch-slap all her fans and their pet theories (regardless at how tortured her logic needed to be at times in order to 'pull it off') there's every chance that she'll pull another fast one on us.

May be... But the last fast one ran over the cliff edge in my opinion. (HBP anyone?) There are a few good Daphne/Harry fics out there I remember reading one recently.... just have to find it.

Well with Hope and luck that we can muster as fans maybe she'll straightin her act out and acutally write a decent book seven. Though with all the contradictions that she's made thoughout the entire series i highly doubt that.

 

I don't see that happening... see the thread about HPB getting the Book of the Year Award. If they believe that.... that means there are enought rabid fans out there who lack taste that she can make book 7 worse and still get a prize.
