I am also curious about a 5th season actually.

I'm interested to see what direction they go in next season, if there is one. I have to say, if it does end after that, it did end in a pretty decent place.

I'm just glad the 'will they won't they' part of the show is over.

I can't find any mention of a 5th season, and they normally announce it by now. Viewer numbers are still good though, so I wouldn't expect it to be cancelled.

 

Well they certainly have the plot layed out for them if they plan to. Also I have to say Javier can fuck right off if he's pissed that Ryan called Gates. At least Beckett has the excuse of this being her mothers murderers and her decade long obsession as to why she was acting criminally stupid, Javier had none of that and no right to get pissy about it. Both of them would be extremely dead if he hadnt and he needs to suck it up.

 

I'd rather they not cancel because now they can get to my two personal favorite storylines. 3XK and Castle's father are way better series plots than Beckett's mom in my opinion.

I hope they show us the morning after next season too. Hopefully Castle gloats and Becket looks shy, bashful and easily falls prey to Castle's remarks.

Oh good, while it was a good place for the show to end, I love the show too much not to want to see more of it.

 

While Im happy as well its getting another season I would have been pissed if they ended it there. There are still far too many dangling plot threads that need to be completely resolved.

 

Aside from the 'plot line' that was just resolved, I've got to say that the absolute last reason that I watch Castle is for the 'plot lines'.

I guess after 5 seasons of teasing with the line "You don't know how big this is" I would like to see just who was behind it I guess. Considering how much they keep saying that though, I hope they can live up to expectations with it.

Plus Castle's dad.

All good and things I want to see resolved but personally more than anything else I want to see whos actually behind all of this bullshit with Becketts mother and what the point of it all is. Considering how much damned hype there is around them it had better be good.

 

I've decided that if this shows reveal of who is behind the Beckett Conspiricy catches me off guard then this will jump to a legendary-buy-every-season show.

However I don't see that happening. I just see them attempting to sneak in an older gentlemen all nonchalant like into a reoccurring and it's immediately obvious who he is or he's just some random high powered political guy.

Because of this impending disappointment I am looking forward more to the other, less hyped plot threads.

 

Wait, what plot threads? I thought there was only one, the beckett's mom one which is, frankly, pretty boring just because they've stretched it way too far, too thin.

Personally, I couldn't care less about that plot thread. All I want from the next season is Caskett (yes, I just said that. Kill me now) hilarity!

 

^ Look a few posts up. There are still details left unresolved aside from Kate's mother. The most mysterious about them is probably Castle's dad.

 

I'm a bit slow; finally saw the finale.

All I could think at the end was FUCK YES. Finally.

Oh, and Tahmoh Penikett? Double fuck yes.

 

This show is pretty great. Nathan Fillion is one of my favourites.

I think Castle's Dad will be part of the shadowy organization in the background. 3XK will probably be the middle of the season story.

Thinking whats her name will be kidnapped. Castle's Daughter I mean, her name escapes me at the moment. The big deal they've made about her staying close to home makes me think she will be used hardcore for dramatic effect.

 

So I just watched the first five episodes of season one and I'm just not feeling it, its just the same as all the investigatives out there, only this time its a Mystery author and not a Psychic or human lie detector.

I haven't been steered wrong by DLP yet when it comes to TV shows but I have to ask whats it about castle thats, how can I aptly phrase it, special?

Does it have an Over-acing plot,like lets say Red John in the Mentalist?

Two weeks before the new season premiere I finally watched the previous one. I misremembered some comments and thought that they finally resolved the Beckett's mother's death in the finale and was disappointed when they didn't.

Also, I'm a little disappointed that the Major seems to not be the one behind everything, because I really liked this idea.

At least they moved on with the relationship between Castle and Beckett, though usually this means bad things for the show like this.

By the way, who is this guy around 00:44. I remember this scene in the show because the camera stopped for too long on him when he was giving Beckett the file though he didn't say anything. I was suspecting that they are introducing him like they did with this superhero cop when she showed in an episode before the one about her, but he never showed up afterwards.
