AS IF THAT'S HOW THE SEASON FINISHES!!!!!

 

I'm more shocked that I never realised Beckett's middle name was Houghton. Just went right over my head sometime in the past five seasons. Also, it was awesome and next year promises more angst and fun, so yay!

 

I would've greatly preferred (not to mention maintained some respect for Castle's character) if the last fifteen seconds didn't happen. If the season ended after his speech about both deserving more, and Kate looking like she was about to break up with him, it would've been a considerably better (albeit still somewhat frustrating) cliffhanger.

 

I would have preferred his mother not being an idiot.

Claiming that Beckett lying to him in some weird round about way was his fault is just the usual, shitty motherly support she likes to dish out.

It happens often. Castle being completely reasonable then somehow getting schooled because of it.

Still, she hasn't said yes, and i don't think she will.

 

Is there going to be a next season?

If there is, then she can't say "no". How could the show even continue to work then? You don't just go on as usual after a rejected marriage proposal.
The other way around works. Kate starts her new job and somehow Castle gets pulled into the cases as well as Ryan and Esposito.

 

How can it continue? The whole series virtually revolves around Kate and Castle's intimacy and commitment issues.

The tension/ conflict anyway.

 

It was renewed for Season 6, Ayreon, don't worry. It was almost renewed with a Season 7, it was that much of a sure thing.

 

Makes you wonder about firefly since Filion makes both shows.

 

So you've seen up to the start of season five? I'd say yes absolutely if that's the case. There were a few episodes that flopped but for the most part I think it's been the best season yet. That's just my own personal opinion though.

 

So I just watched the newest episode(S06E03):

The whole new season is a little meh. Alexis mexican boyfriend offers a little bit of humor but other than that it's not that great. The whole DOJ subplot makes no sense in the context of Castle. Also these episode in the new season were more about Beckett then Castle and I watch the show for Castle not for the girl(she is hot tho)

 

This could be considered spoilerish, but those who don't want spoilers shouldn't be here, so...

I liked Beckett getting a promotion, it gave the series a less episodic feel and introduced some real development. The higher she gets, the more likely she can nail senator douchie.

Regardless, i watch the show for the character interaction. Namely Beckett & castle and castle & espo/ryan. The first four the 'dawww' the latter for the epic lulz

 

So, has anyone else seen the most recent episode? If so, can someone explain to me what the Hell kind of show this thing is turning into?

 

A buddy cop comedy with a twist, same as it's always been. The end was just to fuck with beckett, i wouldn't take it seriously.

 

[S06/E06] Seriously? No one stuck their hand into that mouth in over 200 years?

The clues weren't even needed. Just human curiosity would have taken care of that in like 30 minutes.
