Necro'd to say that I just watched the season three premiere, and I'm happy to have the show back. I know a lot of people were pretty fucking pissed off after last year's finale, but I'll continue to watch this show - it still has the humour, the characters are always good fun, and there are much worse ways to spend an hour. The premiere was solid, and I have high hopes for the rest of the year.

 

I was recommended Castle a few months ago, and was looking forward to the new season. Enjoyed the episode, but got really pissed off with how petty Beckett was being about Castle not calling.
She said early on in the episode that it was the autumnal equinox, which doesn't even happen until the 23rd september this year.
She also stated that Castle said he would call her in the fall. My understanding has always been that autumn starts on the autumnal equinox, so going by the fact that it was the equinox on the first day in the show, they were pissed off about the fact that Castle hadn't called for less than one day.

 

Nitpicking aside, it was a pretty interesting episode. A bit melodramatic ending, sure, but loved the nonverbal communication that followed. These guys have really great chemistry.

Also, a certain morgue attendant is looking pretty damn weird.

 

Aah, as much as I hated the season 2 final, I'd never of given this show up.

Just started catching up now, as im no long on a boat in the great barrier reef.

Premier was pretty solid, I thought it was well done overall. Of course, it's entirely unrealistic and almost ridiculous in some aspects, but thats really what this show has always been. It pulls it off well, and remains enjoyable. Hopefully We don't get too much romantic drama this time around however.

 

This week's Castle was amazing. A steampunk club as the setting, and some great character development.

Castle does NOT act like he's in a relationship, though...

 

I think there's only been one or two mentions of his restarted relationship with his ex-wife since the season premiere.

 

Yeah, clearly that hasn't gone anywhere really.

Im getting tired of the whole, "they both have a love interest other than each other, cue sexual tension between them" plot device.

 

Just imagine how awkward and uncomfortable it will be in a few years if it gets renewed enough times.
They never resolve such a situation before the final season.

 

The sexual tension was very high this episode, but I think they've both had a bit of a realization. At least, we can hope.

This episode was pretty good, but it didn't compare to the Steampunk one...Maybe it's just the geek in me, but that was the best episode yet.

 

I found this episode to be my favorite so far this season.

It just really had that "feel good" touch to it that I loved in season 1.

I hated the ex-wife scenes far less than I thought I would as well.

I am also ridiculously high at the time of this post, so I am unsure if I made sense. I rewrote the second sentence about three times.

 

Damn, this season just keeps getting better and better.

Makes me fear what might happen at the end of it...

 

What was hinted at last Monday and what I'm really expecting to see this season is someone attempting to kill Alexis.

 

This show really is hitting all the right notes for me - hasn't been an episode I disliked so far.

The X-Files tribute in this one was great. A bit blatant, but still great.

You know, there is absolutely no way that deserved spoiler tags lol. I read it before I saw the ep, and still had no idea when it was coming.

As to the X Files episode, I loved it. 40 minutes well spent.

 

I read it before the episode, knew the replies when it was asked and didn't laugh as much as I would have otherwise.

Damn me for highlighting spoilers.

This last episode was fantastic. I like how they're leaving the overarching mystery open while still giving us enough progression to whet our appetite. The same applies to how they're handling the relationship. Castle's just about ready to pop and he knows it, mommy knows it and Beckett has it just on the tip of her tongue (amongst other things).

I'd really like to see the drug lord become a recurring foil for Becket & co.

 

Drug lord guy was smooth. He was very forboeding and I like that he messed with their heads needlessly.

Was awesome.
