I have had this idea stuck in my head ever since I started to read AU stories were Harry runs away from the Durseys when he is young.

The Dursey's are forced to take Harry with them on a camping trip when he is around 5 years old. For some reason does he get lost in a forest and is bitten by a werewolf and he does not return to the Durseys.

Jump forward to when Harry is around 16 and The Order finds him. He is an Alpha Werewolf that leads his own pack of magical werewolfs (wizards and witches that have been bitten) also he should have some degree of control over his werewolf transformation, either complete control over it or maybe that he is able to natuarly keep his human mind when he transforms during the full moon.

How would the wizarding world react when they find that their beloved Boy Who Lived is one of the terrible dark creatures? How will the students react when Dumbledore force Harry to go to Hogwarts and how will Harry's pack react?

 

Hum... this isn't exactly your challenge, but equesarus or something like this did one similar, with harry/Sisteroftonks. another story under the same penname is changing faces.

 

Sounds like you're accusing him of tridenting a challenge. Got any links to back it up with?

Personally, I don't entirely see why Harry should be able to have control over his transformations, it's the one of the main points of being a werewolf. Also, how would Harry manage to stay out of Dumbledore's reach for the time until his sixteenth birthday?

 

Arkeus isn't lying about eQuasarus writing something similar,and just for proof, here is the link to his story "Hidden". I haven't read the story in a while, but I think the fic and challenge aren't too alike, but they have the same concept. (Harry gets lost, becomes wolfish, he gets found later, etc...)

There was also one like it where Remus finds him, I can't find it anymore.
Although werewolf Harry is cool when done right.

There was a good one where he gets bitten during Mundungus' watch but that was taken down too.
It seems like the only werewolf ones that get to stay on ff.net, are ones where he's buggered by Remus and Sirius.

Sorry if the challenge was a bit close to a story, I dont think I have read hidden but maybe I have and I got the idea from there... I just got the idea into my head one day.

Also on the questions on how he stayed away from dumbledore and why he would control his change so he maybe used another name, lived in another country or something similar. Also by some degree of control over the change does I mean natuarly keeping control when he turns and maybe access to a bit of the werewolf enhancements in human form. This would be just the first stage of reaching the level of lycan, a werewolf in complete control of his
change.
