Pfft. At least Lelouch acknowledged that his goals will require the deaths of hundreds of people. Suzaku is a hypocrite. He says that change can come from within without killing. All the while he has killed hundreds of people in the name of the Empire.

I hope he dies crying like a bitch, he gets on my nerves so much!

But I have faith Lelouch will pull something out his ass to get out this latest predicament, he always does after all!

But, has he killed anyone? The mecha in this verse has those escape pods on the back and as long as you don't damage them the pilot can get out. I do recall many battle scenes where most if not all of the people he faced ejected immediately after they escaped him. It is possible that Suzaku has killed no one in the name of the Empire. Doesn't mean I like the prick.

I agree with this, but that in itself is not what makes him a prick, as you rightly put.

Its the fact that he is helping and furthering the cause of the empire that is killing and enslaving (practically) his people! What an arsehole.

At least lelouch is admits he's evil, whereas Suzaku thinks hes some white knight for the 11's, when hes actually a douche.

*shrugs* My favorite characters are L from Death Note and Roxas from Kingdom Hearts {both of which are pretty hypocritcal} So I can deal with that. :D

Though honestly I like his dubbed voice and I really hate Lelouch now. So yeah Go Suzuku! :D

Plus at least he's trying not to kill people.

    How is L hypocritical?

And may I bring to your attention episodes 24-25 of CG the 'Black Rebellion' where he went out of his way to kill members of the Order.

So, Suzaku; he betrayed his people, killed his father, and went on to join the army that's currently oppressing his people, even sold out his best friend for some twisted ideals. How is that a likable character by any means?

Lulouche admits to being evil when his goals are noble and just.
Suzaku pretends to be good while his means are disgusting and immoral.

Lulu is NOT, and I repeat, NOT LIGHT. He is NOT the villain or the EVIL of this story. The Emperor is the bad guy. That's pretty fucking obvious.

Code Geass is not Death Note. Yes, they both have detailed plots with many twists and a protagonist who is a strategical genius. Other than that, they're hardly similar at ALL.

Suzaku, so far (keeping in mind I can only watch the dubs on AS), sounds kind of like a parody of those mecha pilots that are always idealistic and positive, despite being little bitches.

The protagonist from that one other mecha comes to mind, actually...er, Erika 7, or something. God, that kid was a retard.

QFT. A protagonist with brains and 'loose' morals is always compared to Light these days.

Holy shit, someone actually brought logic into a conversation about the similarities and differences of Code Geass and Death Note...

That whole "I am Justice" thing irked me. So its not okay for Kira to kill criminals but its perfectly fine for them to be put to death via L? Like huh? Completely steping over the law (which he was supposed to uphold), allowing people to die so he could get some "evidence" and kidnapping Amane on a "hunch". That is how he's hypocritical. He preeches on and on about how Raito's evil for judging people then proceeds to do the same. Mind you I like L but that irks me.

Because their his ideals. He follows his own way. Yes he's an ass, yes he's hypocritical, yes he could be considered cruel and evil but he's doing what he thinks is right and I admire that about him. [Plus I really hate Lelouch at this point so I'm all for Suzuku killing him]

I know that I was comparing hypocrisy. Truth be told I could have used more examples but I didn't feel like it. Though I like Suzuku because he's Suzuku. Yes he is hypocritical, yes he's a liar and has twisted ideals but I still like him. And honestly I like him okay and I don't like Lelouch I don't see why I need a reason to like Suzuku but the fact is I do end of story.

You like Suzaku because he is a hyopocritcal asshole but he follows his ideals? Now I understand. You only like people who are hypocritical about how evil they are while following ideals. After all Lelouch follows his ideals but he can admit to himself that he is acting evil.

...I don't like Lelouch because he gets on my nerves. I have no problem with him being evil (truth be told I favor characters that tend to be cruel, vengeful, bitter and hypocritical because I relate to them more but then again who am I to say that I like a character because of their flaws  ) I have no problem with him admitting he's evil. I just don't like him end of story. And being hyporitical is not the only reason I like Suzuku. Honestly what the hell is it illegal to like a character that most people dislike now?

    :wall:

Even though I should be used to this. I used to like Snape and still like Hermione after all. Gaah what the fuck. I fucking like Suzuku and dislike Lelouch get the fuck over it its not the damn end of the world.

Ugh. This type of shit gets on my nerves. I like Suzuku accept it and get over it. You harping on me about how much Lelouch (who you honestly made me like even less) is better than him is only serving to make me laugh.

We are not 'harping' on you. We are following the grand DLP tradition of outright harassment until the target cries like a baby or defends their position.

As for you're ideas about L...

Why? According to his view of Justice (bring the criminal in by any means neccesary) he was the ultimate personification of his opinions about justice. Similiar to Light and his ends-justifies-the-means form of Justice.

I assume you're refering to the second episodes' Lind L. Taylor? The criminal who was to be executed at that time, but L was like 'Let's do something useful with him. Like finding Kira. Which he did.

Not really, if he was concerned with following laws he would have been a police officer. He's a detective that acknowledges catching dangerous criminals sometimes requires ignoring some human rights.

I'm trying to think of someone other then Lind you could be refering too but I'm drawing a blank.

If by hunch you mean forensic evidence linking her to the 'Kira Videos'...

Once again L catches wanted, intelligent, dangerous criminals while Light kills criminals of all shapes and forms.

It doesn't change the fact that L willingly broke the law to capture Kira. It doesn't change the fact that he judged Raito guilty from the moment he saw him. It doesn't change the fact that he invaded people's civil rights (the camera incident, the handcuff incident) he breaks the law (And having Lind L Taylor killed by Kira wasn't exactly legal last I checked Kira didn't count as the governement. There's a reason why criminals are executed by the governement. Invades the privacy of the Yagami family [yes Soichiro gave him permission but still its illegal]), he judges people. Get over it. L's a hypocrite, he's not a big one but he's still a hypocrite. He rags on Raito for being "evil" but proceeds to use criminals for aid (once again breaking the law setting cameras and microphones in a private residence.)

Though back on Geass where can I watch the second season?

Yes it does. He made an informed guess that Light was Kira. Lind L. Taylor was being executed by the government (American if I remember correctly). By setting up cameras in the houses he was trying to catch Kira, if Kira didn't have access to police information (and possibly government as far as L knows) he would likely have gotten permission to do this. As I've said before L catches criminals, if he judged them he'd be a judge. He made a jab at Light calling him evil to get him to react in some way (plus Light's actions were undeniably evil). And yes he used criminal aid, just like he uses police and government aid, it's all the same to him, a way to catch criminals.

As for Code Geass R2 you can try Veoh it has fast loading times for me, though good luck wading through all the advertisements for other sites.

Another option would be If You Was the update rate is slow and loading times go are anywhere between fast and criminally slow, but it cuts out all the aforementioned advertisements

I'm pretty sure that Veoh's been deleting episodes of Code Geass as soon as the administrators know they were uploaded. It was a good source before, but...not so much now.

And Ryuuichi, I'm personally harping on you because you make no sense. From my standpoint, there is nothing likable about Suzaku's character, yet he's your favorite. Again, this makes no fucking sense. He's fucking psychotic, easily willing to betray anyone to get what he wants, and does it all under some weak justification. Of course, that was season 1 Suzaku. Season 2 Suzaku doesn't even bother justifying his actions anymore, oh no. Instead, he just ruins Lelouch's life for brownie points. Best friend, indeed...

EDIT: Actually, Suzaku would probably think twice about betraying Britannia, since that would be counter-intuitive, but beyond that...

Suzaku makes no sense either so they're a perfect fit! I swear, what were the writers doing with Suzaku's development?
