If she would end up Geass'd it could turn to be quiet interesting. Lady Kallen Stadfeld - one of the Knights of the Rounds. Lelouch would be in quite a situation.

 

Anyone else feeling the love triangle forming? I loved this episode, a great return from the crappier ones.

The phone call, Lelouch's returning to Ashcroft (and Nunnally), not to mention "The Power of Our Hearts!"

 

Does anyone else find that every time Lelouch says "Power of Our Hearts" if you substitute 'Hearts' for 'Will' it sounds infinitely better and doesn't really change the message?

 

Now that you mention it, that does make it sound loads better. I'm resigned to next episode being rather subpar, just because their back at the Academy, but it could surprise me. I just hope they get Kallen back soon.

 

To tell you the truth, I've felt that way before the last two episodes, and each time I watched them I liked em. Acadamy=fail, but I can see how it needs to happen.

EDIT:Jesus, not the worst episode ever, but no where near the best. However it was clearly a setup episode, if it included some cliche comedy, the next one looks interesting!

 

Not quite as bad as I thought it would be. The Geass Cancellor was pretty cool. I feel like Lelouch will have a few confrontations next episode. Lelouch vs. Shirley for sure, Lelouch vs. Orange-kun probable, and Lelouch vs. Suzaku possible.

 

I'm very indifferent towards this episode. It felt quite a lot like the Cat episode in season 1. Important for setup, but mostly useless comedy. Still, from the looks of things the next episode will be much better.

Was anyone else annoyed that Milly became a weather woman?

I wonder what role is Miya going to perform. So far every female character with reddish hair has played an important role into the overall plot... for starters, Kallen, Anya, Cornelia, Shirley (in theory), the late Euphemia. and that new girl that appeared that seems to be a Knight of rounds. The one with the same age as Nunnally and all that jazz.

Meh, I guess you can apply that logic to any anime... (Elfen Lied anyone?)

New girl with Red Hair is a member of the royal family. Everyone around that table was a member of the royal family. Guy with his eye sewed shut was the Knight of One.

 

The way I see it, this episode was necessary to end the series of episodes pretaining to peaceful times at the Academy. Milly's hunt was used because they wanted to keep her in character and that is exactly the sort of thing she'd do. The episode did a lot of things though:

1. Brought Cornelia back into the picture
2. Exposed at least part of Orange-kun's plan
3. Revealed Orange-kun's Geass
4. Introduced more members of the Royal family, including Bismarck, the Knight of One
5. Had Anya confront Lelouch about his past
6. Shirley's memories returned, setting up for confrontation

So the episode did have quite a bit of substance and was necessary for the series to move in a more serious direction. I loved the part where Anya used Mordred to try to find Lelouch and everyone except Gino overreacted and thought the Black Knights were attacking. My favorite was the dialogue with Villetta.

Villetta: "Please make a swift retreat with your Knightmare."
Anya: "Can't..."
Villetta: "No you can't..."
Anya: "Can't..."

I find Anya's apathy pretty funny.

 

Edit that ass was lying. It was a hell of a nice shop though.

 

I wonder whether Lelouch's Geass will work again on those who've had their previous commands canceled--it would certainly add a twist if he's incapable, though.

 

I think that the Geass canceler is going to be used against Lelouch and he will find some memories that were erased by his father when he was a kid. Maybe something like his mom isn't really dead.
