Okay, so I run my little sound business and I've had an idea for my logo for ages and I'm looking for peoples to make my idea awesome and real.

So my business is called RPM Audio, my initials and a play on the whole revs per minute thing and it being a sound related business.

So what I came up with was a tachometer with the measurements in decibels with certain numbers going up from -56 or -48 to 0 in certain steps (Which I have included in my epic paint drawing.) with it being a third/half of a circle with a green section, an orange section and a small red section at 0. Then the needle hovering at the point where the green and orange sections meet and RPM Audio being located in the bottom left hand corner.

Seeing as Jon Is A Whorez and takes too long and I wanted to get a few different things to choose from I will present the challenge thusly:



Make this prototype logo awesome whilst keeping the main features intact.

Better quality resolution the better, it's going to be printed onto some tshirts and appear on my website.

Prize: A gifted steam game of my choosing which I have yet to think of. Won't be something stupidly cheap nor stupidly new and expensive (I.e. black ops). Or it could be if the designs are that good. Therefore, the level of the game will be equal to the quality of the entry that wins.

 

I would have given this a try, if I wasn't having problems with GIMP at the moment. I probably would've done it for free too, just for the fun of it.

My idea:

Copy Murton's pic, make it silver, preferably with a sleek look and center the "RPM Audio" text to give it a cooler look. Make sure the font is allowed for commercial use too, or there might be problems in using it.

That's what I would have done, anyway.

Use CorelDraw X5, you can make it in CMYK so you can print it on tshirts and alike, and it's relatively easy to use. If you can wait, then I could do it, after all I did study logo making

Sorry to bump, but I felt that I should contribute.

There are several (okay, many) problems with it, but most should and could be fixed with relative ease... maybe. I'm not a photoshop expert, so don't hate me.

 

I like. I'd change a few small things, but overall I like it.

If no other lazy bitches submit something better, you sir are in the lead.

Here's another one that I actually think is much flashier, although it doesn't quite follow your criteria...

 

Sexified / Artistic Licensed. I couldn't find a way of putting the needle in without extreme uglifying it. Eh. Hope you like it.
