BSD in this case (MacOS X). I still use a simple app I wrote several years ago for Mac OS to let me drag and drop text into a grep interface. (It took about 10 sec from opening the page to getting the results I copied back in).

One of these days, I'll get around to hacking similar functionality into Firefox.

 

Thanks for the great list Perspicacity. Sorry for being lazy, but as JWH said, I'm a lazy mother fucker, and I didn't really want to go look through every post to find a complete Alternate story.
