I'm excited for this one. Here's to hoping it will be as good as Arrow. My only fear is that it will be too similar to the Dresden Files in the minds of the audiences and be cancelled after one season. Also the only complaint about the poster is no cigarette.

Plot Summary: CONSTANTINE follows enigmatic and irreverent Liverpool con-man-turned-occult-detective John Constantine, who is reluctantly thrust into the role of defending our world against dark forces from beyond.

I hope it's better than Arrow, I don't like that show at all.

It seems DC is going to dominate TV. I mean between Arrow, This, rumored Flash and rumored live action young justice there is a lot of potential.

As good as Arrow? Arrow isn't bad, but it seems to me that these days, most shows go towards a secure meh rather than actually try for something awesome.

But I did like the Constantine movie with Keanue Reeves, so I'll be checking out the series.

I think you're overestimating how many people know about the Dresden Files.

I honestly thought the movie was better than a lot of the things that have happened in the comics in a long time, so I'll second having hopes for the series.

And honestly, Green Arrow has been mediocre at best.

I'll remain skeptical until I watch it. That is all.

As long as it spends more time on Constantine being a badass exorcist, and less time on "have I mentioned I'm bisexual lately," I can't see it being anything less than at least average.

Hope this show is better than the movie.

Maybe. Then again, Marvel has Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, and The Defenders all going to Netflix. Also I believe there is an Agent Carter show in development at ABC.

Hey, I liked that movie. Then again, I seem to enjoy a lot of badly-reviewed action flicks, so maybe my mind is warped or something. The few times I actually got into a favorite films discussion with friends I always had to defend Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Equilibrium. And Underworld. And Van Helsing. Ah, the guilty pleasures...

Anyway, I'm not really digging the new Constantine look. Never read the comics so I don't know what kind of coat John wore in the source material or if he had lung cancer, but I thought Reeves pulled off the kind of thin, don't-give-a-shit-I'm-terminally-ill look rather well. I'd prefer a black coat (sille little details, bite me) and a more gaunt look, but oh well. Probably will check out the series once it premieres.

I have never read the comics and can barely remember the movie other than the bathtub scene but I'm still excited.

They have to do something to immediately set it apart from Supernatural, so I have to ask, what does he normally deal with? Original monster or basically supernatural stuff?

It isn't exactly a new look...

It's an exact recreation of his appearance in the comics. Fun fact one: he's supposed to bear a resemblance to Sting. Fun fact two: the Supernatural team based Castiel's appearance on Constantine.

Like I said, I haven't read the comics. Seeing that picture, yeah, they did a good job.
