The best part is their predicted total dominance of nature. Today, we bitch about our place in the world and whether it is morally right to do some of the shit we do to nature. The people of the 1900s though? "Yeah, we're going to make mosquitos and cockroaches extinct, nbd. BTW, we're probably going to have accidentally purged all of the horses."

 

That he predicted things like Television ("Photographs will be telegraphed from any distance"), Fast Food ("Ready-Cooked Meals will be Bought from establishments similar to our bakeries"), and Air Conditioning ("Hot and Cold Air from Spigots") is pretty cool. That the US be 3 times its size with the inclusion of Central & South American countries is both funny and oddly accurate if looked at from a 1950's P.O.V. But this made me lol:

Which in retrospect, is a terrible thing to teach a kid as he's about to run head first into puberty . . . though I think what the Lion-turtle taught him was how to break someone's bending, cause Ozai did try to kill Aang after the blue glow of doom.

 

Why would anyone follow a bunch of actors in battle?
