H/G = Agree. WAY overused. ALWAYS the same deal of "both being possessed/linked to Voldemort, hey lets just fall in love"

I confess to using H/G some in the fic i'm working on, but it is a strong part of the plot, and truth be told he could care less about her =)

H/D ... ug. oppisites attract, yeah, but jesus

H/SS Nasty. ALL the Harry + anyone older then Tonks ones are usually nasty, unless they are accompanied by a method for Harry to be older.. sadly most resort to a Time Turner as the sole method of aging him.

Slash in general... I will not read a fic that has excessive slash. I've seen some extremely good fics, that were ruined by very descriptive slash sex scenes. I've also seen insanely good ones, mostly Azkaban fics, that can just hint at slash, without showing it all out, those i can ignore the slash part of.

Hermione/anyone just irritates me period. Know it all type ppl i cannot stand in real life!

Albus/Minerva is overused. At this point in the books #5/6, suddenly introducing a spouse for the man, even in fics, just looks weird.

And finally the only person Umbridge should be snogging is a frisky Dementor.

H/G besides being over used, very cliche, and just plain annoying doesnt work... its obvious Ginny's only reason for her crush is because harry ish the boy-who-lived .. a reason (at least i feel) that harry keeps away from most of the female population.. ginny's crush is a hero-worship thing, something that harry dislikes...

HP/Any male isnt for me. I wont deny having read things with slash undertones but its usually RL/SB and i ve got no problem with slah, just wont read it... draco and harry are never going to get together, and snapes more likely to offer umbitch and her frisky dementor a threesome than snog a potter...

And surprisingly, I dont read much femslash either... its usually just written for PWP (porn without plot, or plot? what plot? whichever youd like to use) somehow i dont see luna and ginny getting it on... though i DID enjoy the bit about ginny and blaise in Black Kisses by Mehetabelo

Hermione seems to be to controlling and demanding to find anyone who isnt a submissive person to me.. thusly i give her ron... a fool too stupid to know hes being controlled

and I think if albus had ANY kind of significant other wed know by now...

and as for umbridge.. i get the impression shes doing...*cough* .. under the table jobs for fudge...

 

What else would she be using that huge mouth for?

Ya know after searching for a new story i haven't read today, I can officially say if i see one more Harry/crybaby Cho fic i will throw up.

As of this moment the only thing worse then H/C for me is H/G. I'd say slash, but hell at least the slash authors give the relationship some sort of reasoning, not hero worship, or obsessesion with dead boyfriends.

.. Thats the problem with Harry/Chang ... everyone makes her this big emotional rollercoaster... its always up and down... there are a few i like where she is decent, but those were a long time ago, and i cant find them anymore aside from Draco664's (think thats right anyway) two. The second one shows about how far ginny would go in my opinion.

Aaannnnd yeah... Patil twins... if everyone didnt make Pavarti so bubbly and girlish i could stand it... cuz lets face it... every male has at least ONE twins fantasy

 

H/PP does have some merit, it hasn't been overused... hmm i may look into that myself, heh.

 

yea but none of the main female characters understand him ..... i mean he was practicly abused as a kid and then .... well you know what happens after he got into the magical word .... i dont think anyone of the can understand him ..... so i would much rather go for an orignal female character

 

Dangerous road, OCs... though some of the better stories ive read are HP/OC.. they have extreme potential in both ways.. can be very good.. or horribly bad..

and as far as Padma/Harry goes.. ive read three I think.. Give me a little whil and if anyones interested ill try to dig them up...

 

Ahh.. those were some of the ones i read.. i think the other was by the same author...

Plot is sometihng like harry got sucked into a different universe where his other self was dating padma and Sirius was married to Alice Longbottom.
