Well, since he already almost lost his innocence to Griphook few chapters back, I shudder to think what will happen once he meets centaurs or giants ("Now I know how all those white women felt" - Chef, South Park). :)

    Ships I hate:

Harry/Ginny- way overused and Ginny is just an obsessed stalker

Harry/Hermione- i just hate her. almost as much as Gin-slut

Harry/Snape- I still dont get why people want to see a greasy-haired pedophile fuck hary

Harry/Malfoy(jr. or senior)- I wont even waste my time...

Harry/Luna- Luna just annoys me so much that I just want to hit her in the face with a rolled up edition of the Quibler until shes dead

I thought that it wasn't pedophilia if both people are over the age of consent. In most greasybastard/submissivewankstain (harry), harry is in sixth year, in the summer before he turns sixteen.

After Bellatrix's fall from grace in Half-Blood Prince, Luna is the next best female character. What isnt there to love?

A Freak and a Loon... cant find a better match than that.

I agree Luna's the only semi-major character left that's a fit for Harry. But for me it was Tonks that fell from grace in HBP.

And yeah, Harry/Snape isn't exactly legally pedophilia by now. But any significant difference in age you can justify as a cradle robbing. Though I do find it kind of funny/ironic/humorous that Jester King is the one arguing that and his profile says he's 13.

And well, at 13, there were plenty of hot old chicks on my radar (Madonna, Sharon Stone, and Demi Moore were the first three forty-somethings to pop in my head). Usually at that age you're thinking the age of consent should be lower, not higher.

    Yes, very unfortunate

Oh, and I forgot to mention the other pairing I hate

Tonks/Lupin- I find it suspicious that a very poor, very lonely middle-aged man would suddenly fall for a 23 year old woman who can change her body into whatever she(or Lupin) wants...

    Albus/McGonnagal

    Snape/.....just about anything

I dislike Albus/McGonnagal because she was was in Hogwarts 36-43...so the age gap gets on my nerves and I'd imagine Albus is too old for such.....exercises

And Snape.....whilst i like it when he keeps close to character....I just don't see him pairing up with anything......at all.

    Erm...

Luna = An Awesome Character... She's just oppressed by a wizarding society where you have to conform to 1 of 4 different character molds.

She's to eccentric to fit into any of them.

Luna is one of the cooler characters in the books. I think mainly because JKR has mangled her yet... So any Harry/Luna will never be a conventional relationship which is why like that paring.

Tonks/Lupin felt wrong to me when I read it. It just seem so strange... I guess because it was introduced when there was huge Admit-I-love-you Fest at the end of the book. Not only that but through out the book Tonks is depressed/crying and not being Tonky.

You know thinking about it Tonks/Lupin seem to be an angst fest in the books. Ron/Hermy is a anger/jealousy fest. Harry/Ginny is a lust fest. Conclusion: JRK can't do romance!

I love Luna/Harry. I think that Luna has so much more potential as a character. (as long as JK doesn't screw it up.)

    Couple I hate:

Harry/Ginny: The 6th book just threw me off. This was the whole premise of their relationship:

    Harry: Hi.
    Ginny: Hi.
    (Love!!!!!) Can't stand it!

Harry/Cho: Cho is a whiny brat. Harry can do better.
    Ron/Hermione: Can't stand Ron. I prefer H/Hr.
Tonks/Lupin: Where did THAT come from?
Slash: I am a girl. Does not mean that I want to read about two boys getting it on in the Great Hall at midnight.

The only ship that I really can's stand (barring slash or draco!anybody or severus!anybody) is Ron!Hermione. Probably because I hate Ron and think that he deserves to die miserable and alone.

H/L is very fun to read but when you read the longer stories out there, you tend not to find much.

H/G: In terms of archetypal adventure, cliché as hell. Rescue the princess from the dragon, and she falls in love with you. The fair knight and his maiden. Blech. I think what disappoints me so much is that for books so laden with symbolism and unique perspectives, to just say 'well, here's the standard romance, hope you like it!'. It gives no intellectual gain. What does the relationship do for the novel? Keeps it as the stereotypical mythic, which it should have avoided. It would have been even greater a hit, IMO.

H/CC: If CC is written well, sure, why not? Rarely done well though.

R/Hr: It almost seems that in this relationship, Hermione is trying to marry into a family of purebloods, thereby improving her social standing. That'd be a decent fanon excuse. If Harry is with someone unique, I can tolerate this. Otherwise gag me with a grapefruit spoon. H/Hr is superior in terms of logical choice, but it's rarely written well, and I'd rather not see Rowling butcher Granger any more than she already has.

T/L: It came from watching Mugglenet and reading too much fanfiction.

    Slash: Not unless it's strawberrycocoabutterlove-style!slash.

strawberrycocoabutterlove-style!slash? ....Don't explain it to me. I don't like Lupin!Tonks, but I can understand how it got started. People picking random Order members and sticking them together. I don't like it because Harry should get the metamorphagus. And anyone else he wants.

Riiiiight. Not going there. But I found another couple: Draco/Ginny. These fics are usually so cliched and over done it's ridiculous. Now there are a couple of handfuls of good ones. But for the most part it goes something like this:

Ginny: I case you haven't noticed in the first 6 books my family is poor. For some reason now it's starting to bother me. I need to become a gold-digger and marry some rich guy I don't like.
    Draco: Ooh! Pick me!!! Please!
Ginny: Okay. And while we're at it let's have 47 chapters of UST just for the hell of it.
    Draco: Sounds good to me.

And that's pretty much it. Sad isn't it?

As much as I hate to say this, Ginny/Draco is sort of possible in a Romeo and Juliet way. If Harry did go dark!butlightsided Ginny might notice similarities between the two (mainly dark arts, sarcasm, slitherin tactics) a fanfiction author would be able to remove her from the bulk of the plot without much work, saving all of us Ginny haters from having to read about how she's currently trying to snare the boy-who-lived.
Although, from what we've seen of Ginny she is a gold digger, who spreads her legs for anything with a pulse, therefore Malfoy is a good choice, because he's unlikely to have any STD's because his father would castrate him and he is good looking (can't believe i made myself say that) and, of course, rich.
