I'm glad you like it, I did however re-design with a more apt font choice. DLP guys were right, the thriller text though nice didn't suit the content.

    In The Skitterleap cover:

You need a comma after 'the east' or else I'll continue reading this and getting slightly confused. (That was my quota of nit-pickyness for the day.)

Awesome covers are awesome, though. Moar.

    Fix'd. And thank you.

I knew yours was going to get done the moment I started. Love that fic SO MUCH for it's sheer simplicity and ingenuity.

I'd like to be the first to recommend the Denarian series and/or Renegade Cause.

But, what you have is pretty much the most awesome thing I've seen in the last several hours. This is the best day for DLP ever. 3 Dresden updates, an HP update, and this.

Amazing work. The one for Wastelands is easily professional quality, at least to my eye.

    Holy shit...

...I'd started out my fic on a lark. Then, I wanted to finish it to prove Seratin wrong. Then I wanted to make it into the DLP C2...

Now ? I want to earn a cover when I've finished.

Once we get the C2 up to the number one spot, it's time to create the DLP publishing house.

We already have a logo. <3

An international collection of like-minded individuals striving toward publishing profit?

I would happily contribute original work to such an endeavor.

Oh God, I just imagined five years down the line and everyone is just itching to see what original fantasy novels DLP publishes next.

    Shit would be epic.

Hell, it would make me get off my ass and learn how to write a proper story, just to be a part of it.

    edit:

Also, today was a confluence of awesome, for the reason Fiat Piscis stated.

Ha-ha. It could work. There are a lot of creative/intelligent people here on DLP. With access to significant fanbases. In all modesty, my yahoo! page has 5,000 members we could woo with individual and collaborative fiction. Several thousand more read ff.net updates. And I'm just one writer.

Anyone got an MBA and a shit-ton of free time?

I was actually thinking more on this while playing Global Agenda (was guarding a point that was attacked a grand total of once) and I think we actually could manage to publish works on a case by case basis.

Have a Featured Stories section or something, and they would only release a few teaser chapters. Then there would be donations to get some copies made, and they could be ordered online. Maybe have those who donated a certain amount (cost of the book, or a percentage) receive a free copy.

Or something like that. My marketing skills are non existent. Would just be cool to actually have a system that would reward our writers for making original fiction.

There's also always ebooks, which would make the whole process easier, but less cool in my opinion.

    Hell, why not both?

We wouldn't need to change the acronym either from the publishing logo.

    project DLP: Dark Lord Publishing

That's a fuckin' awesome title regardless.

I like the idea - and you have some skills at this.

    However:

    a) I'm not sure I agree with your choices of archetypal story choices - none of those are really my favorite stories (oops, sorry!)
    b) Those last two covers look suspiciously like Twilight covers. And that I can never support.

And now we must make sure this happens. The whole idea is becoming far too awesome. lol

Enembee, you are the man. Not just the man, either. The awesome man. Of awesomeness. Good fucking job. I'm curious as to see what you're going to cook up next, that's for sure.
