Friend got rubber/marble. Not that bad is it?

 

Pretty decent combo, but I remember being told that rubber was crap.

In my experience, it was/is kind of hard to get the trades I wanted/want with Rubber/Gems. I personally have made it work halfway decently.

Marble happens to be a decently wanted trade.

I'm doing okay with Rubber, it's required for the Construction / Asphalt / Steel / Automobiles (Initial infra cost -7%, infra upkeep -5%, aircraft limit +10, population happiness +3) chain.

And all that's on top of the nifty regular resource bonuses. I actually prefer industrials to the food resources because if some douche cancels a food resouce trade on you, you can lose as much as ~10% of your tax base (population). Not something I'm interested in doing.

You can get Construction without Rubber, but it's required for Asphalt which is pretty useful long-term imo. Rubber also gives a -4% on aircraft costs and some land bonuses. (+20% area modifier on all purchases, and one or two others).

Well, it will be as soon as the guy with Marble I offered a trade to fuckin' accepts...

Don't worry, they'll be back. The forum is pretty stable but it does go down every now and again.

You'd be better off taking these kinds of problems to IRC. They'll be able to coordinate a response pretty quickly if they don't already know about it.

 

Ah well I need to get IRC and remember how to use it. But I'm pretty sure one of our guys got attacked and is in anarchy.

 

Than they shall feel that wrath of God upon them. Though to be fair it would probably make more sense if I was actually in GOD...

 

CN shows only three wars for our alliance at the moment and only one of these is defensive in nature. This one is going on for three days, so somebody should already know about it.

On a sidenote: Why is someone from RIA attacking one of our guys? Gladiator fight?
