So I spent 25 million while waiting to get access to the forums (ie before reading the nation builder). Should I start over or just leave it for now?

 

you get 25 mil to start now? wow, that's a big jump start. I remember getting 1 mil in aid from a fellow member and being floored at his unbelievable generosity.

As a random Lurker, I decided to get back into Cybernations. I posted on GOD forums, already as well as registering on CN and joining the alliance.

Is this sort of like Nation States?

 

It's a vaguely similar basic premise, in that you're building a nation with some control of settings, population, taxation, etc. There's also an entire warfare mechanic (army building, specific infrastructure, air force, navy, etc) which Nation States doesn't really match. Where Nation States focuses on building your individual nation, Cybernations is more focused on inter-nation alliances, and on warfare between said alliances. In a way it's more social; there's an internal 'alliance' structure and hierarchy, joined up in a mess of inter-alliance treaties which occasionally results in everyone trying to kill each other. The whole system is pretty much the plot of World War I set on an infinite loop. It's a lot of fun.

I think a number of people play both CN and NS. I'm not on NS, but I know a number of current and former GOD who were involved in both. I imagine if you enjoy one, the other is probably a good bet.

 

Also you can nuke the shit out of people.
