If the recommended stats stay the same, the only thing I don't have is Windows 10. I still have my license number from when I briefly tried it while they were offering free upgrades, but I've been dragging my heels about installing it, now that Win7 is no longer supported.

There's always something you forget to back up, some unforeseen snafu... and Win10 telemetry.

 

You can use BlackbirdorShutUp10to disable the telemetry and a bunch of annoying stuff.
That being said, you don't have to upgrade for Cyberpunk 2077. It uses Dx12 which used to be Win10 exclusive. But Microsoft made a version of it available for Win7 some time last year. It's still problematic because it's developer dependent. They need to put in the extra effort to make it Win7 compatible. So there will be more and more games that are Win10 exclusive.

 

I still have Windows 7 because I don't like how Win 10 looks. If there's a way to change that I'm willing to upgrade.

This is a terrible idea. Windows 7 is no longer supported through security patches. As an information security professional I can almost guarantee that you’ve been hit by some malware through bad websites or bad ads. I can not recommend strongly enough upgrading to Windows 10 and patching every month.

if it’s the telemetry that bothers you, good news it can be disabled with some pain, bad news is your information has been bought and sold already and there is nothing you can do about it.

We already live in a cyberpunk hellscape friends. The least you can do to protect yourself is use an up to date operating system so you’re not rawdogging the entire internet praying you don’t catch something.

 

Wow, no, please, you can't be browsing the internet and still using Windows 7. Its like living in a bad neighborhood and leaving all your doors and windows wide open.

Hackers/Bad actors are 100% taking advantage of the vulnerabilities left by Microsoft no longer providing security patches.

If you dislike the look of Windows 10 that much, I would highly suggest looking for an alternative OS.

Also, if you do decide to upgrade to 10, Microsoft have made the process ridiculously easy and fast. It will not be an inconvenience in any way, shape or form.

(yes i know they're testing more, but still)

 

Something must be really wrong with a game for this delay, not necessarily with all of the versions. They're aware that their biggest fans planned for this release and they just massively annoyed them by moving it again with only three weeks to wait.

 

Yeah, they'd already gone gold. Quite odd.

 

I agree that something must be broken if they feel the need to piss off a substantial section of their fanbase with a delay this late in the game. (Sorry.) I‘m quite looking forward to the inevitable exposé, though.
