MathBlade isn't a true vanilla role.

I have a question for you. If you survive today, how do you rate your odds of winning?

 

Me? Basically totally contingent on if there's a ton of item gifted or not. I don't rate it too high honestly. Like either people want to help me out and give me items because we get a good position by Midgame or I lose. I don't want to mess up town items either because I'm anti-scum myself (if scum are in a winning position I can't get items and lose) and if I'm anti-town I'll just get lynched/shot/whatever is possiblr)

I'm just going to come out and say it: I don't really buy Citrus' claim. First things first, he's flat-out admitted he's been lying from the beginning of the game. What on earth makes people think he's telling the truth now? Secondly, as detailed as his role seems to be, some bits, particularly

Seem ill-defined. Why on earth would you have to ask about your win condition? Surely that's the first thing that would be mentioned?

I still have no idea what items are, and no one's come forward saying they have one. Probably wise, since they dont want you grabbing them. But it seems odd that you have a role that basically relies on you guessing correctly from what seems like a small pool of players for at least four nights, and doing nothing else. What if you only guess one? I think there would be another facet to this power, if it's real.

Also, your wincon seems odd. You just leave? What does that mean? Can there be multiple winners, if you finish your little side quest whilst the rest of us play? In my opinion, this seems like a role that would function better in a scum team. Then you would have a smaller pool of candidates, and help your scummates by getting rid of town 'items' even if you can't get four.

Your role isn't impossible, if you ignore the wincon. Replace that with the standard scum victory, and maybe a bonus if you get four, and you get a much more interesting role. But that still doesn't preclude it from being made up entirely, either. I know I made up more than one role, in case Lexi decided my primary was bad, and this could be one of Citrus'.

This just seems fishy. I know very well that this game is bastard, but that role seems more ill-conceived than bastard, to me.

And even if I'm entirely wrong about all of this, he still put scum first. Why on earth would we trust him?

 

Snowvon/Mathblade/Citrus, please explain your claims fully if you want us to believe you are benevolent third party. The mod said no vanillas and I sm inclined to believe that.

 

Titus, I never claimed or implied vanilla. My ability is passive, so as long as you keep your hands off the merchandise, we can all hunt scum together.

I was confused for a second since the one game I have played on here definitely had you in it...then I remembered you were seer and wolf food after N1 so that does make sense.

Trust me. After that game I learned to go with my gut. I mean considering that was the Murphy's law game for scum it had a chance at being over much sooner if I had stuck with my initial gut feelings on Sloth. Not doing that again.

It means I can see how they reached their conclusions on their reads but just interpreted the same stuff in a different way.

For who can't I follow. As I said in my wall Lyrium for one because she's exaggerating minor things to make the assertions.

I feel like I've been seeing this a lot. People specifically mentioning how their townread on Atum is strengthening. But just Atum. Nobody mentions their other townreads going up or down.

It might just be me?

 

Slim to nil. I am playing for fun. If I win great. My win con in mafia is to have fun regardless of what my win con on paper says.

I really think Citrus is lying because I am in the same boat of relying upon gifts. I doubt many people will just hand me a gift to make me not vanilla.

Because I was just told I win if I get 4 items, and that's ambiguous. Hrggg. I understand from your perspective it's possible I'm lying but it's really really hard not to take it personally when you call me a liar for having a stupid/weird role. How do you think I feel? And no, nobody is going to go and reveal they can gift items etc because it's directly tied to their roles and everyone is tight lipped about even their role flavors.
And I'm neutral. So u don't expect anyone to claim or something to show there's items and you shouldn't either.
And other players have said they're dependent on items this page anyways, so there you go.

I exact dumped everything I know about my role earlier. I did not withhold anything at all. I am "third party trash collector". My night action is I can roll into people at night. I pick up free items just like a katamari does. I am a katamari ball. If I get 4 items I win. If I win I exit the game. I got no answer as to what happens when I roll items beyond my counter goes up.

I am sorry you feel personally attacked. Comparing that role and mine though it is much more likely you are scum. Possibly Snowvon but IMO more likely you. The roles just seem way too similar. I don't mean for you personally to be insulted. Outside of game I bet you are really squishy and huggable and very friend able.
