Hello, I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good D.Gray-Man fanfiction? Doesn't matter what genre or pairings; after all, beggars can't be choosers.

The DGM section on FanFiction.net is so godawfully painful to even browse through. I honestly cannot believe that for a semi-popular series, and with a little over five thousand stories archived in that section, there doesn't exist a single well-written, properly capitalized and punctuated, non slash work of DGM fanficiton in existence. Its a freaking wall of crack, ask-the-authors, and combinations of Lavi/Kanda/Allen/Tyki. (Or maybe I just didn't look hard enough, I don't know.)

I'm very fond of this series, so if anyone could suggest anything at all, I'd appreciate that very much. Thank you!

 

Yeah... you really aren't going to find anything good until it gets to around 10,000 stories...

 

Gonna have to agree with Poytin. That's generally true. The lesser known genre's on FFnet don't really have very many good authors or stories. Unless you're lucky enough to find one.

 

I know my reply is late by 7 months, but I sure hope you’re still interested in DGM fics.

A few authors I’ve read who deserve attention:

Abreaction (comical fics, well-written stories, Yullen and AllenTyki)

allPod (canon writer, proper grammar, maybe slight Lenallen? S/He kinda does a little for each popular pairing.)

Conspiredfate (nicely written fics, IC, Yullen fan)

Daruku Janubu (Hispanic? But his/her ideas compensate for his/her poor English. No pairings as far as I could tell.)

Evanescent Silence (well-written fics, proper grammar, refined style, Yullen)

HikamiTZ (mature style, IC)

Leafyaki (decently written stories, mostly canon, rightfully humorous, Laven fan)

Ritachi (IC...to a degree. Read his Sex God fic; I know it sounds crackish (and believe me, it is) but it’s a good piece of work)

Some stories:

“My Idiot Apprentice” by Tuli-Susi (not many errors, definitely canon)

“Information Please” by Lee-uhm (well-written, funny, IC, Laven)

“Amortentia” by veloth208 (hilarious, justly OOC, thoughtful crack)

I’m sure there are more out there, and I hope these keep you occupied for a while.
