The QI christmas special, which I only just caught, ends in Dan getting beheaded.

I never quite understood how they do that (without killing the person), but I still lol'd. Good find.

Do not judge us by Graham Norton. I actually met him once in a bar in Blackheath, and couldn't make it through a single conversation with him (and his dog). He's actually somehow worse in real life.

What do you mean? Graham Norton and Top Gear are the only reasons I ever watch BBC.

Agreed on Top Gear but Graham Norton is just way too flamboyant in his persona for my liking.

What Aekiel said. Overly bright and bubbly and very, very grating. He also forces it a little (as though it would be necessary) when he's meeting 'fans'.

Just far too camp for me to take him seriously.

Society needs it's clowns. That's pretty much what comedy is.

My favourite comedy tend towards the black rather than the slapstick, so it's just natural I wouldn't really enjoy Norton's style.

It's bitchiness, but yeah, it's what I call 'scream' comedy - as in, your mouth resembles a scream at some of the stuff he says. You either need to have charm to pull it off - like Norton - or be willing to go the step further into shock factor, like Frankie Boyle and Jimmy Carr. There's nothing wrong with his funny, though the guests usually do the lion's share, he just gets my back up as a person.

It isn't even an anti-gay thing, or an irk at camp-ness; it's his falsity that winds me up.

    But to each their own.

Fair enough. Him and Jimmy Carr are definitely some of my favorites. Carr still tells one of the funniest jokes I've ever heard [and I heard it when he was on Graham Norton]:

"A friend of mine dared me to do this joke in Dublin, so I went up on the stage and said - I think Ireland should be united, and I got this huge applause, at which point I said - under Great Britain."

    Pure lulz.

That was great, and I have sadly never seen or even heard of QI. I am having fun rectifying that as much as I can with clips on youtube.

QI delivers, as always. Such a hilarious show.

Also, I agree with GL and Aekiel on Graham Norton. He grates, and grates, and grates. Top Gear, on the other hand, never fails to leave me in stitches.
