Preferable a sharp long sword weilded by a master. If not, maybe a rusty spoon?

Short but sweet. I hope people like this. Anyways, points I want to elborate on is Ravenclaws ability and specialty. If you don't know, check out HP-Lexicon. Anyways, I think Harry traveling to the areas of Ravenclaw and Gryffindor's tutelage, plus Voldemort's will give him some good knowlegde, me thinks. Oh, and Ravenclaw was not trained at Bueaxbotons. I'm talking like a library, similar to Candlekeep in the original Baulder's Gate. Anyway, have at it :)

Cool. I just don't want Harry to become to knowledgeable. I think he should be as knowledgeable as an above-average Hogwarts grad (which is pretty good). Nowhere near on par with An Inner Circle Member or anything. Just Raw power. Shitloads of it.

Meh, I disagree. While I don't think he should be too knowladgeable on curses I do think he should at least be on par with a inner circle member. And my scene with Harry vs. Lucius was sort of meant to show Harry that power wasn't everything, although he needed more of it.

It depends on which Inner Circle member. Peter? Yes I agree, he should be more powerful and AT LEAST as knowledgeable as.

Lucius? MAYBE. But definitely not Bella (who I was thinking of). She was "trained by the Dark Lord, himself" (OotP)

Lucius, he should be equal to, but with a different area of knowledge. Maybe. I don't know, but I do think that Harry has NO time to learn Magic for a few months. He's spent time studying already (Black Library). Does he REALLY need more? And do we really want to do the whole, "Teachings of the founders" thing? Cause that's where we're headed with Ravenclaws Library. I don't know if Harry can BECOME Voldemort to begin with. Voldemort already had a Horcrux by the time he was 15 (the Ring) and created another before he graduated (The diary). Harry's already too far behind, and I don't want to get into time changing (slow down, or going backwards). He doesn't need to be Voldemort, or replace him. He can be his own thing.

By the end of this story, I imagined Harry becoming something like Jason from Friday the 13th or Michael Myers (Halloween). An unstoppable terrifying force that kills without purpose or reason. A nightmare for the Wizarding world, who kills (Muggles too) and leaves Wizards to clean up his mess. No REAL political ambitions. Salazar's book is just to get Harry going and question Dumbledore and Voldemort. Eventually I thought he could have a complete emotional breakdown.

So, since it's my turn, and so I need to clear things up to actually write well...

As I see it, the knowledge he has is extensive- at least for his age. I'd say on par with some relatively higher ranking Death Eaters.

But he is still relatively naive in the thought that he is unbeatable- evident in his arsenal of dragon-energy, pheonix tears, and familiar.

    What do the others think?

I agree. He doesn't need more knowledge to fight. He needs to fight smarter, and less arrogantly. Example, earlier when he charged off against 15 death eaters. INCREDIBLY foolish. HE ALMOST WAS KILLED! But it worked for the character. He needs to get more street smarts and think shit through. That's also what Slytherin's book is for. Get him thinking alternatively.

I agree completley. Harry needs to fight with more finese. And I agree with the not being as knowladgble as Bella.

    Posted.

If you've read it already, then I propose not going into the 'trained by the founders' kind of storyline. That makes for a bland, 'harry transformed into a rainbow colored phoenix with a lightning scar and remus and dumbledore and the whole of the order including sevvie gasped in awe- GASP!!' type of story.

I instead propose something on the lines of Make a Wish, where he picks up random skills, that will be essential later on, in the places he travels to look for traces of Horcrux.

For Thorn, who I believe is writing next, here's the new info I presented:

Harry has arrived in Avalogn, wizard/muggle village located in France, place of learning of Rowena Ravenclaw+ ancestors.
Harry hopes to learn of horcrux traces there.
Merlin is somehow tied to the village- this is still unclear, as it is only legend, unless someone writes something to change it.
SPANK, the Society Promoting Ancient and New magicKs. Oh, come on. You know you love it.

    I just have one request.

Do something about the guard that we can all laugh at.

I think it's been past a day now... so, strike, people?

If so, then it's DGD's turn.

    Is it?

I don't know the order. For some reason, I thought I was up...

Well, I'll give DGD the benefit of the doubt until he posts otherwise.

A couple days left, our dear Mod.

Goodness, we seem to be skipping turns as a whole in this story a lot don't we?

Whoa, I haven't checked this sub-forum in forever. My turn? Crap.

I'll see if I can write something before the deadline, but I have things going on tomorrow and I work on Thursday's. Hopefully I'll be able to get something up.

I'm gonna write a section for this part at the end of all the turns regardless. We can't have this short of a chapter. I'll take my strike but I wanna make sure this one stay's long enough.

    That okay with you guys?
