I was a bit chary of recommending this for the library, but it's just been completed and it's a nice light read. Not fluffy by any means but it's pretty good.

I think the characterization is very good. This is probably the first light!Harry that I've actually liked.

While it isn't DLP mainstream I still think it's worth looking at and maybe a spot in the Library.

I'm only halfway through it but it's pretty good so far and hasn't shown any signs of deteriorating. While the chapters are pretty short it doesn't really matter now that it's finished. Blueowl wrote "Mysterious Thing, Time" and it didn't do so well here but I think this one will.

Overall, it's good to read if you don't have anything else to read.

    Tell me what you think,

Tried it a while ago, and I got pretty far before quitting. IIRC, this is the one where Harry and his friends start building an army when he's like a third year or something, I got kind of annoyed when I realized it was being completely serious.

You know, if you have read it halfway, it is normally worth it to read the full story before deciding to share it.
I mean, you don`t even know yourself what you are sharing?
    Or what you just rated?

All the children, not including Harry who is somewhat justified (the Memories, y'know),are way more mature than they were in canon, or indeed, a thousand times more mature than children should be. Other than that, it's a fairly good story, though.

3.5 stars rounded to 4. I'm feeling somewhat generous and think that this story, while not great, deserves better than the Bin.

I remember having read parts of this. I think I stopped but I'm not sure.
I will look at it again but a 3 seems alright from the first chapters.

    Edited: It's worse than I remembered. 2/5.

The "Custosae de Lux" thing really ruined the story although without it, it would still be average.

The mechanics weren't very well put together, IMO. It's far too cavalier with mature 11 yr olds for me to be comfortable about it. 2.5/5

The 12 or 13 year olds running an army more or less ruined the story for me. If this was set in at least 4th year - slightly more plausible.

I also ended up skipping the last 20 or so chapters out of sheer boredom and the inability to suspend disbelief at what the Custosae de Luxembourg were doing. I did enjoy the Harry/Dumbledore interaction though.

Oh, and the pairing is Harry/Susan - because it's mentioned in 3 lines in the epilogue.

    2/5

Reading what was written here, it does take a little suspension of belief to read this. But having said that, I did enjoy it for a bit of light reading.

3/5 for me and a solid entry into the recycling bin.

Started off pretty good, after the first year though, it went downhill.
The minute that Kingsley introduced the American auror I knew that it was over.

It's...mostly readable. It'd work better if set a few years later, in my mind, but - meh. It's nothing special, but doesn't make my brain hurt to read, and passes time a bit when bored.

3/5ish, recycling bin territory in my mind.

I think recycling bin would be the best place for this fic.

It's something to read between Santi's updates.

Started off as a good concept with an okay execution (even though the author pulled most of his punches, plotwise, and kept everything extremely uncontroversial). Ended up shit. It's extremely juvenile in its plot. It reminds me of Narnia in lots of ways, what with the whole kid leaders thing, and with how disturbingly moral everyone is. But then the author is a hardcore Christian and likes to insert Christian themes into his stories, so no surprise there.

    I agree.

If one were to forget about the formatting, the writing style is somewhere between good and average. The beginning of the story as well as the concept of those "dark memories" was interesting enough that I'd read up until the end of year one.

The plot is just plain, as in Yet-Another-Rewrite. The same can be said about the characters...Perhaps it gets better later on.... maybe.

The moment when they swore an oath, sth about the Guardians of Light (Don't know exactly, when I saw it I pressed the red x in the corner of the screen) was too much for me.

    Writing style: 3
    Story concept: +1
    Plot: -1
    Characters: -1

I find the beginning of the story to be imaginative and like the others I too was drawn in, but I lost interest after Part 5 of the first book. I mean it was a rehash of canon (word for word) with only slight alterations here and there to signify the minute changes being brought in by this new Harry. The memories that he shared with Voldemort were really interesting to begin with, but they got really old, really fast. When I found myself yawning as I went through it, I had to stop because the story had lost my interest.

The writing style was decent, it wasn't excellent by a long shot and seemed to be a little awkward at times so I'll give it a 3, average through and through.
The plot and the main idea that triggered this story with the memories deserves a +0.5
The characters were a rehash of canon, the plot line as well and beyond that it got really boring, really fast (-2)
