    Title: Dark Pleasures
    Author: Penitentia
    Rating: M/NC-17
    Genre: Adventure/Horror
    DLP Category: Dark Arts
Pairing: Various, Future Harry/Bellatrix according to listing
    Status: WiP
    Wordcount: ~30,000, nice Update-rate
    Summary:
The Potters leave Harry information to grow strong but expected their friends to be around to guide him right... Dark Slytherin Harry. Death, torture, use of imperius curse for sexual pleasure. If you cant handle how its gonna be then dont read.

Somewhat shitty summary, but if you're looking for a new guilty pleasure, you might be right here.

It has a moderately weak start; some clichés (Goblins, All-Anticipating Letter From Lily), which is, to be fair, countered by quite a few bigger and smaller original ideas, like the Knowledge Market. There are spelling issues, slightly unrealistical scenes and Harry not behaving his age, most of which could be drastically improved by a Beta, but fuck that. I enjoyed it.

If you want a comparism, it goes into the direction of Yarrgh's Fury of the Hellspawn. From a technical point of view, that story is miles above this one, but then FotH is abandoned.

And there is much lulz in here.

So Harry gets all these pictures from witches doing naughty things, and because he lives alone and has no one to tell him what's appropriate, he does what you and I would do and paves the wall of his room with them.

And then later, he spots this family of blondes (the Malfoys), and there's this dry comment that he recognises the woman (Narcissa) ...
    That really cracked me up.

This will show how much DLP there is in DLP today :p I'd give it a a high 2, but it gets a +1 for making my fanboy senses go all tingly.

So something like a ~3.7/5 from me.

^ That was what I was going to write. Before I read the end of the third chapter. AND IT IS FUCKING AWESOME. Just ... read it. I'm still laughing. I dun care anymore about the shortcomings. 5/5

Put this shit into the Dark Arts section.

Holy shit, I was going to post this on the review forum. But you beat me too it.

I was laughing my ballz off when I read the ENGORGIO PENIS and he had the two girls suck him off! He is like 11. wtf?

4/5 just for that, I don't give a crap where it goes from there but that scene was priceless.

The fact that the sex-scene featured a prepubescent boy kept me from enjoying it to much. And apart form that, the story was nothing special.

    2/5

The end of chapter three was basically a variation on Rita Skeeter getting crushed while in her beetle form, merely adapted to another character. Moments that boost my potential score from 2/5 to 5/5 are things so kick-ass I can't bear it, and this one fell far short.

    So no.

2/5. The rest of the stuff is cliched from the very beginning, and the smut is not appealing at all.

... wait. Rita Skeeter crushed as a beetle? o_o Now you made me want to read that.

Lol this was pretty ok for a bit of lulz, but for the sheer quantity of bullshit that was rampant through it produced a kind of spoiler.

An 11 year old enlarging his dicky to get head off twins who were under the Imperious was as funny to read as it was to watch a train crash, those moments where you just cant look away. Still i'll stick it out and hopefully it wont verge to much further into the obscene and ludicrous.

    3/5 form me on this.

Goddamn it Sesc, you thundercunt. I was all psyched when a relatively level-headed member made a rec, and simply followed the link without reading the other posts.

    Never again.

(If any of this nonsense trickles into your story, Methene will crucify you - which would be a shame since your story isn't finished. Proper restitution for this failure of a story would be a chapter teaser, or Harry/Ines one-shot :awesome )

The first chapter is dry, rushed and riddled with clichés, but the story gets better. Not a masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, but it didn't fail to entertain me. The distinctive lack of readable smut nowadays only adds to my enjoyment.

    3/5

    SO. MUCH. FAIL!

With that said, this thing belongs in the Humor section.

    5/5 as an unintentional comedy.

-5/5 because it is unintentionally hilarious.

    1/5 because -5 isn't available.

I admit it is somewhat lackluster, but it has its upsides such as the sheer amount of fantasy provides a touch of dark comedy on a rainy day. The grammar is lacking in many places, making the story somewhat confusing at times. Having said that I would rate it a 3 out of 5 just because of its unintentional hilarity.

Clearly not a very polished piece of writing, but I found it enjoyable nonetheless. 2.5/5

It's definitely not good, but it's good enough that I can read it without saying, "This is stupid," and closing the file. I'll give it a 3/5.

That cracked me up all over again. Sorry, Blaise :p (And I dunno about levelheaded -- I have my moments)

As for something like that in TFA, no, how would it fit in there?

That is BTLCL territory. And indeed, if you compare my Hopkirk Kill-Off with the ending of the third chapter here, you'll see that the tone is somewhat similar. It's that same laconic, by-the-way-style I quite enjoy, used to create a contrast between what you write and how you write about it.

Another potentially interesting idea is the general concept of Harry/Imperiused!Twins-in-park. I will have to think about that.

But nevermind that now, you called for a teaser; you shall have what you asked for.

Do look at the TFA-thread. To go with my fellow countryman, Sir, my need is sore./Spirits that I've cited/My commands ignore …

I'm actually with Sesc on this one...

I was quite reluctant to read it after the first comments but then I had a rather boring work day and gave it a try... and o wonder, o wonder... I actually liked it!

Yes, the first part of the story practically is what I don't like seeing/reading in fics, for the most part(the presence of Hermione, Ginny, Ron and DA makes for the full list of things I don't like to read)...

Yes, there was a rather stupid... uh, actually totally annoying scene with Harry placing some ridiculous curse on the mudblood, I meant horrifying, terrifying Daaark curse... BUUHUU... but I kept reading with gritted teeth through that and the scenes where the immense knowledge was literally drank by our young boy wonder...

... and here I was at the end of chapter four and I actually did realize that the last update(it was updated today) made me like the story... as simply like it, not really placing it anywhere near the very good stories but then I did like it enough to give it a decent 3/5 despite the first part all-so-badly-cliche-ridden (I freaking hate when someone says full of cliche for a story and here I just did... bollocks)...

To be honest, the death of McGonagall, the addition of the Ministry in Hogwarts and the ambition for HP to become minister rather than Dark Lord... adds to almost a full point to my rating. One thing is for sure - the story could actually become excellent from here on as it has some nice base to step on... although I somehow have my doubts that the author is good enough to turn it into the right direction before utterly destroying it...

    ...What the Fuck?!

I honestly thought this might have had something under the trunk, it seems all it has is mildly funny smut and lack of anything else substantial.

    1/5.

Why turn Hermione into a whore? it make's no sense

I would have giving it a 3/5 but the last chapter was :puke: 1/5 and I shall read no more.
