It was originally from an Engrish translation of Zero Wing. Then online people got crazy and started using it everywhere in 2002 I think.

If I don't know better, i would have sworn the author changed this summary a LONG time ago. rite now, from what I've read, she's decided ta make Harry Dark, not Light. And no, he is not going to forgive his parentz. So yeahh....try ta keep thingz updated I think Darkly Treacherous is really well written, it just has a few grammar mistakes here and there, but overall the ideas are there. You shouldn't put down a stories before you've read the entire thing, just because of a summary (which are faulty most of the time).

I'm caught between my love for lostdreamer's work and the truth.

The truth is that this fic is going at snail's pace and nothing much is happening. All build up, not much action. This really frustrates me a lot. However frustrated as I am, I keep on reading despite short chapters, filler scenes and sporadic updates. I think lostdreamer should either move the plot foward or focus on of her other ideas, all equally interesting.

 

Although the progress is rather slow, I thinks it's an good story. Harry is a bit too powerful for my liking, but the plot is interesting enough. I just hope the author progresses faster.

The author just updated, but the chapter isn't very long.

 

I love the author's stories, but the seasonal (at best) updates result in an inevitable loss of interest on my part.

Maybe I'll go back in a year or two and read them, assuming, of course, that the stories will actually be completed.

I doubt anyone is still a rabid follower after several years, but here's your chance. It's a little sad to see the chapter outline and see how, for all the angst, emotional breakdowns, and whangsting, little has actually happened.

I'd give this a 3/5 now.

 

Quite frankly, the story feels quite tiresome now. Skimming through it again I had to force myself to keep going. 28 chapters in and nothing has really happened. Nostalgic memories in this case lose their luster when scrutinized by present standards.

 

If he keeps his promise of weekly updates, I will be interested to see if his writing has improved. This was easily one of my top 5 favorite stories back in the day, so I'll be giving it a chance atleast.

 

I think its been too long now and I've lost interest. Also I've developed a strong dislike to Harry changing his name, so this 'Alex' business is rather annoying now.

 

I used to really like this story back in the day but now meh...

Go fuck yourself buddy. It's kind of awesome how blatantly he exploits his readers, but it's not good for the story when he's just writing shit as it comes for the sake of being able to say he technically kept his word. And a major upswing in quality is necessary for a dated story like this one.
