Daybreakers

In 2019, a plague transforms the world's population into vampires. With fewer humans to provide blood, the vampires seek to farm the remaining humans and to find a way to continue their existence. A secret team of vampires uncover a way that would rescue the human race. While, at the same time, a group of surviving humans wish to repopulate the species and survive.

Think they are overdoing the whole vampire thing yet?

Sam Neill stars in Daybreakers, a movie that gives us just a little more proof--as if Jurassic Park and In The Mouth of Madness weren't enough--that not showing up in a movie with Sam Neill should really be another horror movie survival rule.

 

I'm a fan of vampires, mostly anyways, so I'm really looking forward to seeing this.

 

Just saw it. Not bad, but very plain.
Some of the story just didnt make any sense, especially the ending.

He meets Elvis an EX-Vamp. Finds cure.
Sun=Cure.... Once cured the blood can cure.
Spread cure by letting people slaughter the people that get cured.

 

Saw it, it was slightly better than average but the way over the top blood kept it from being any better, it ruined any of the dramatic moments for me. It would be slowly panning out from a scene of carnage with dramatic music playing in the background and then this completely fucking random squirt of blood would shoot across the screen and Id just crack the hell up.

 

It wasn't bad. I thought the idea behind it was quite interesting, but the pay-off was rushed. Elvis was a blast though, and it was refreshing to actually have some scary/monstrous vampires, rather than angsty whiners.
