There are really strong rumors that the movie is actually pretty good. Like actually good instead of just better than most DCEU up to this point. This trailer suggest that they may actually be correct. I suppose it would be fitting if the last movie was the first one to get amazing reviews.

 

Doesn't look too bad.

Definitely gives off Shazam vibes imo. Which I'm okay if that's the tone of the universe they want to go with.

 

It's better than expected and it's aware what it is and what it tries to do. It could be a surprise hit in August if it can convince people to go to the cinema instead of waiting for streaming.

 

Fitting that they use a somewhat Cobra Kai-esque font, hah.

After the Flash bombed...I hope it doesn't damage this film. This looks really good. Though, I think they need a lot more put into marketing for it.




Xolo is perfect as Jaime. Love the family vibe. Will definitely be going to see it in theatres.

Oof. What a hot mess that was.

Keaton's Batman was enjoyable to see onscreen again, but he was mostly wasted. It could have been any version of Batman and it wouldn't have made a difference. Supergirl was completely wasted. The jokes were all over the place, and very few landed beyond a few Spastic!Barry moments. The culminating fight was, to quote a show that actually understands what DC is supposed to be, "just whelming" at best.

I feel like DC is going to die before Gunn even really takes the reins.

 

Blue Beetle was a ton of fun.

Easily one of the best DCU films. Which isn’t saying much, but it’s prolly on same level as first Iron Man.
