They went for the rule of cool, I see. Call it nitpicking, but it makes no sense to have the engine exposed like that. Again, I'll respond with the Ninja Batmobile

    And the Batfleckmobile

But maybe the new one will grow on me

    ...

Well, I suppose it can't be much worse than the existing version.

Is that legit? Why is Snyder's name like twice the size of the actual title? Nice to see which part they're actually confident will make money.

Does anyone not completely drowning in fanboy koolaid really think this mythical Snyder Cut will make this abortion of a film better?

What confuses me most is that we're waiting until next year... it isn't done yet?

It will actually be pretty funny if it comes out and still be terrible, not that the fanboys will admit it .

It apparently needs $20-$30million worth of post-production work and the like before it's in a release-able state.

Most likely the Snyder Cut (to the degree it ever existed) was a rough cut with very little post-production work done. CGI and post-production in a film like Justice League is a very expensive and time-consuming process, and they wouldn't have started on it until they had a relatively final edit. Not to mention they're probably also going to use the opportunity to clean up a lot of the iffy effects in the theatrical cut of Justice League, like Cavill's uncanny valley CGI lips and making Steppenwolf look less like a cutscene from an X-Box game.

It will address the problems that came from Wheedon's reshoots like the tonal dissonance between his material and Snyder's, at least. Not to mention Snyder will have the benefit of hindsight and a lot more freedom from studio executives, so the film we get now will probably not be the same as the 2017 Snyder Cut would've been. After all, his rough cut of the movie is supposed to be almost four hours long, while Warner Executives were adamant on a two hour runtime.

Granted, none of that guarantees it'll be good. After all, Justice League was a heavily compromised film whose failings are largely down to the structure of the DCEU, and Snyder's previous work in the setting was divisive. All I can really say is that if it does suck, it probably won't suck in the exact same way that the original Justice League did.

The Supermustache won't even need to be edited out, because it was only in the Whedon reshoots Cavill had to do while filming Mission Impossible.

I wouldn't be shocked if it shows up at some point. The Snyder Cut we end up seeing almost certainly won't be the exact same rough workprint he apparently had back in 2017. Considering the reception of the theatrical cut, how much this is being marketed on his name, his increased creative freedom, and simple passage of time Snyder's going to want to go over his original workprint and make sure he's still happy with it. He's got a lot on the line with this, he's going to want to put out the best film he can.

If he thinks using some of the reshoot footage would make the movie better, he'll do it. If purists are upset, he can always claim that some of the reshoot footage was in his original plans (which would probably be true: while the sheer size of Wheedon's reshoots were unusual, it's pretty common to need to do some reshoots).

Heck, with 20-30 million dollars in the budget for this, I wouldn't be shocked if there are some minor reshoots for the new release, or at least some dialogue getting rerecorded.

Apparently they plan to have them because not everything was filmed that is needed. There is a rumour that WB plans to release it as six chapters, basically a miniseries, instead of one film considering that they have 4 hours of it.

I'll be honest here, it would be a big surprise to me if the new Snyder Cut is actually any good. Even if it is objectively better than the Whedon version, I somehow doubt I'll get much enjoyment from it, what with the excessive grimderp I expect to see.

I have high hopes for it because it can't be as bad as what we got.

But then, I enjoyed Batman v Superman so wtf do I know?
