Anyone else super pumped about this? I literally just pre-ordered Dead Space 3 at GameStop and I was wondering if there was any other Dead Space fans on DLP. If you've forgotten the story so far: The Story so Far - Recap.

New Features:

The new weapon crafting ability is gonna be awesome. I can already see myself with a hybird plasma cutter/ flamethrower.

The new "Drop in Drop out Co-op". Directors commentary seems really stilted and awkward. Trying waaaaaay too hard to seem cool. Co-op might be awesome, might suck. Who knows?

Thoughts?

 

I never played the first one, so I'm watching a Let's Play(Yes, I know) to try and catch up. Once that's done, I'll smash my way through the second one. I hope to finish not too fast, but before DS3 comes out. I intend to play co-op with an IRL buddy of mine. So, yeah, pretty excited.

 

AWWWWWWWW YEAH, this is gonna be awesome.

That said hopefully Isaac is able to save the love interest.

If only I had known. Oh well, I'm about an episode or 2 away from the end with Jesse Cox's play-through. Even though he makes me clench sometimes, he's pretty good.

Not many can add moon slayer to their resume

 

Played and beat both of the previous games on the hardest difficulties. Will not be buying DS3 because Dead Space is a game best experienced alone.

 

Play the solo campaign then. The game might push you to trying to do coop, but the single player is still pretty damn good, even if you can't 100% it solo.

For those of you have played coop as well, is it me or is the game way too easy that way, even on impossible mode?

 

How's the horror aspect? What I've seen and heard so far kinda gives the impression that it dropped all pretense of being anything but an action game.
