...I'm surprised that I'm actually posting this on DLP, but the girl has talent for a singer. Her voice is good. =O

Demi Lovato's latest single, which is doing well in iTunes.

Some of you will snicker, but I've always thought that Lovato was one of the better Disney girls. Whenever my sister watched Camp Rock, I've sneaked a peak or two at the screen to get a glimpse of Lovato. She had a certain edge, I think, which seemed to suggest talent. Even back then.

It was surprising and brave of Lovato to be that... frank about her mental illnesses. Especially about bipolar, which, I don't know about America but has a stigma in Australia.

What do you think about her latest song? It's getting some buzz, much like what Aguilera's Beautiful did back in the early 2000s. Surely, it's better than most of the current songs from the female popstars?

Were you like me? I don't normally like "mainstream" or "pop", but I'm not quite sure that this song is that typical and catergorisable as such. =O

 

I like Selena Gomez. She's Super Awesome and I don't Know WHY!

When I see her I physically "KAWAI" Which I don't think is possible as it is not a verb but here we are.

I like most of the Disney girls, their music being auto-tuned or not. They're okay actors and they're showing some passion for what they do, so I can't hate on that. Of course, I'm an eighteen year old who thinks they look good, so I feel relatively secure in saying a good part of why I like them is because they're attractive.

This was a great song in my opinion. Also, could probably be put in a Disney movie.

 

I'll admit that Gomez is charismatic; she must have been to garner those happy fans (well, happy before they fanraged at the Bieber thing, I think).

But in all honesty, Gomez has a weak voice. She can't maintain volume on certain notes or "belt" like Lovato. Plus Lovato sings live, and often sounds better live (free from Autotune at last!).

This clip shows that Lovato can at least sing the national anthem. Yes, she'd be better without the "vocal acrobatics", but that song is difficult to start. She did a decent job. =O

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Lovato has bona fide talent. Wow, Disney really found an actual gem. She is a good role model, I think. Yeah, she had mental issues, but at least she had the good sense to finally deal with it and be upfront with it.

I never said that Gomez isn't physically appealing. I wouldn't turn her away from my door.

She just doesn't have a strong voice, that's all. =)
