As the title says, apparently Dexter is coming back for a limited 10 episode run this time next year.

Genuinely not sure what to expect, given that its been 7 years since the last season. If they keep it to just 10 episodes, and set it about 7-8 years after the last season then it could be nice to get a glimpse into whats gone on since then. I suppose his kid will be about 10 or so at that point? Maybe he's starting to show some similarities to his dad? Could be an interesting line to go down.

 

That's pretty hype. I loved Dexter but the ending was so shitty and disappointing that a chance to "fix it" is a welcome one.

 

That is very exciting news. Even better, the original series showrunner is returning to helm the show. Clyde Phillips was the showrunner for the first four seasons.

 

This is the only news that will make me actually want to watch it. S1, 2 and 4 were fantastic, and if he can try and fix the mess that was the ending it'd be more than welcome.

 

I'm not sure about this. I mean, will it really be the same without the weird incestuous sexual tension?

 

It wouldn't be Dexter without that, I'm sure they'll make sure that has some screen time!
