Didn't the one woman who was kidnapped hear two voices? And it pretty much showed that the guy doesn't talk with two voices but is rather like Dexter just without realizing it.

I would have to rewatch what she said but I am pretty sure she only said she heard one guy talk to someone else, not that she heard two voices.

Another thing I noticed, when Dexter stabbed the hillbilly with the pitchfork I thought it was very interesting that it showed Brian doing it before switching to Dexter. Maybe I'm just putting together the wrong pieces but I think that might be a clue pointing to the people with these kind of hallucinations can be committing the crime themselves but see someone else entirely doing it.

Why was Dexter such a 'tard in this latest ep?

If there's a heavy table on top of the basement trapdoor, then obviously Gellar can't have passed through there. Dexter should have ruled out the basement straight away and been suspicious that it was a trap. Especially since his accomplice's duplicity had likely been discovered [thus why he was knocked out].

All you'd have to change to improve the scene's logic, is to remove the obstacle above the trapdoor.

I'm not sure if him going through the trap door was about finding Geller, and more about Dexter wondering what the fuck was going on. Travis was knocked down, Geller wasn't in sight, and he already disappeared once so efficiently the first time Dexter came to the church. Dexter may have just assumed Geller was already gone.

I just re-watched the scene, and that doesn't appear to be the case. It looks like Dexter was hunting Gellar right up until he found him in the freezer.

Dexter's internal monologue is "Where is Gellar?" just before the freezer's compressor turns on. When Dexter follows the noise to the basement he's got the syringe out as he stalks around, looking for Gellar in the corners. It isn't until he's ruled out Gellar being in the basement that he pauses at the exit and looks in the freezer.

And there's no reason for Dexter to think that Gellar has run away rather than simply hidden. Dex should have been concerned about an ambush or trap; he is hunting a very dangerous serial killer after all. Dexter's personally witnessed Gellar's masterful traps enough times to know better.

Also, why the fuck would he just sit around in the kill room thinking? Sure, it showed him getting the tranquilizer, but it wouldn't take that fucking long. And he usually already has that on him. -_-

I couldn't decide if Gellar was real or not, but the whole time Travis was talking to Gellar I was thinking it'd be the perfect time to stab him in the neck.

    1. Send Travis off to be a distraction.
    2. Make no use of this distraction.
    3. Get trapped in the basement.

    This episode : :awesome

    Deb's psych meeting : :awesome:awesome

The :awesome potential of the next episode : :awesome:awesome:awesome

Seriously, if the next episode doesn't involve a sword-fight between Travis and Dexter at least in the drafts, the writers are doing something wrong.

I thought showtime had somehow forgotten to air the show. I was going to go out into the streets and start smashing things until someone told me it doesn't air until next week.

    I was ready to call
    Dexter/Debra
after the tenth episode and in hindsight I prolly should've done that.

They have set the bar for the next* episode way too high and I hope they deliver.

Things are going great and next week will be fun, but I had to laugh at...

That the writers actually exploring the potential Dexter/Debra angle, even from Debra's point of view... in the season after the Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter divorced. Man, all kinds of awkward lulz. Deb's reaction in the therapy scene was priceless, too. Good game, show.

    Damn! :D

The funny part is if Debra somehow manages to learn what happened to Dexter; she probably will blame herself.

Anyone else wondering why exactly the Intern is sending Dexter the prosthetic arm?

I am trying to decide if its to get Dexter in trouble for having it or to start a cat and mouse game with Dexter to extend into the next season.

    I am guessing the latter.

    I forgot about that.

/inb4 Intern = next Serial Killer

    /inb4 Jamie = first victim

    Just a prediction.

    I could be wrong.

The Intern did say he was getting off the sidelines from vicariously living through serial killers. That can't mean that many things.

When I saw him writing Dexter's name as the reciever, all I could think of was; He's so asking for it.

I first thought that if he and his girlfriend are alone at Dexter's house, he will find Dexter's weapon stash and his raging fanboy boner for Dexter would get even harder.

Thank god that didn't happen. Don't really care that much about him, to be honest. At the moment, he seems totally unnecessary and I realize he will most likely play a part similar to what you guys predicted but still, I don't really find him interesting.

    The
Dexter / Deb angle was awesome. Can't wait for the next episode.

Also, the first time I really disliked LaGuerta.

The entire moral framework of the show depends on Dexter's relation with Debra. It'll be interesting to see how tis new angle affects Dexter's evolving code of ethics.
