They found a kill room that Dexter uses which Deb saw, she also knows that BHB slices the cheek and takes blood from there as a trophy.

Travis is tied up in the exact same way with cheek cut a blood-side somewhere near?. With several knifes in the room. There is no way Dexter can justify this.

Honestly, if she doesn't figure out Dex is BHB I am calling bullshit.

 

QFT. Deb knows exactly what's going on now. Think about all the weird shit Dexter's done in the past - it'll all finally make sense to her after seeing that.

 

Or Debra will play ignorant and say somethin like: ''Fuck! I forgot to turn the fucking oven off.'' and get the hell out of there.

 

Wouldn't surprise me. But with more poorly used cuss words.

 

Maybe she'll faint and wake up thinking it was all a dream. That would be sweet.

 

Truth. Clearly though, since there are two more seasons left Dexter's going to work something out with Deb. I just wonder how far that's going to go, in terms of how complicit she'll be with Dexter's continuing antics. My guess is it'll be something along the lines of the books, where Deb finds out that Dexter is a serial killer at the end of book one (she was awake tied to the table while Brian and Dexter debated murdering her). The book Deb becomes closed off and hostile, but doesn't turn him in out of a sense of familial loyalty (and the fact that he saved her life).

I do hope that Deb will not buy his explanation. I want her to face a full discovery of who Dexter really is, not a watered-down version. Especially if they're just stalling and want to have this realization later on. Just be done with it and move on.

 

I don't like the way this is going. I really hope Dex doesn't talk his way out of this, there is no way Debra would believe this is a one time thing where he snapped, the setup has too many similarities to the BHB to ignore here.

Deb letting Dex and Lumen go at the end of Season 5 was ridiculous enough.

Actually these similarities aren't a problem since Dexter worked on BHB case. He can easily explain that he copied this method, because it is efficient way to avoid leaving any evidence. That said, it's hard to sell this "I snapped" thing when you clearly seem to be prepared. Unless these plastic sheetings are a part of the blood spatter analyst's toolkit.

 

I don't believe Deb would buy it long term. She might believe him for a short time, but Deb's personality seems to revolve around how she obsesses over a particular case or topic.

And this is not one she would forget. She'll see the inconsistencies, even if it's not right away.

Wow. That was one of few trailers in recent times to really excite me. This looks like it'll go somewhere very interesting.
