That's not really a spoiler, but slightly irritating to know beforehand.

The first episode was absolutely horrible. They must have fired every writer that previously worked on this show and hired the guys that script Storage Wars. Completely unworthy of the series, don't even watch it.

...Kidding. It's great. I fucking hate cliffhangers though, I should have waited several weeks to pick it up again, because the knowledge that I have to wait another week for the next episode is a bit frustrating.

Well, I'm glad that they dealt with it in the episode and didn't drag it out all season.

I think it would have been an insult to Debra's intelligence to drag it out any further

I love how she pretty much picked it apart after a single night's worth of sleep. It was some thin shit really.

But yeah, I like that Dexter's downfall is always that he's a serial killer. He simply can't escape. He's basically like all his victims. If he was smart he would have gotten rid of the slides and the tools and not killed that guy but he can't help himself. The code works because it's put on top of normal serial killing patterns- basically he was given a pattern instead of working one out for himself- but he's still insane and impulsive in specific ways

I can't wait to see how she reacts to the Code and Harry's involvement.

I really, really feel fucking sorry for Deb.

Don't think she will survive this season. By the way, was I the only one who thought that Dexter was going to stick to his "storage room" excuse for the whole conversation. Despite the drama, that got a chuckle out of me.

    But yeah, solid episode.

Aaaah, this episode was so refreshing compared to last season. I feel like I actually want to watch instead of feeling obligated, lol.
Did anyone else laugh at the teaser for next week? Looks like Deb has taken it upon herself to fix him. I'm excited for them to have a conversation with the real Dexter :b

Also, I like the idea of what I surmised to be the overarching plot of this season: someone Dexter kills is actually going to get him in trouble with the 'wrong people.' Dexter v Mob boss!

It's pretty much going to be Dexter vs the mob thingy. Meanwhile, Laguerta will be after Dexter's blood but once again, that new intern guy who is obsessed with dexter/ ice truck killer, etc is going to be the fall guy...because after all, why else is he here?

Honestly, if you are reading this thread, you should be expecting spoilers. :|

Hmm... I'm not sure how much fun it will be to watch Deb trying to reform Dexter. I would have preferred to have Laguerta trying to figure out how the slide got there and the mob trying to kill him take center stage.

Oh come on, that shower joke was just begging for the sexual tension to be spotlighted with a giant yellow light and a sign saying, "HEY LOOK OVER HERE. INCEST-Y!" Good times.

But yeah, awesome two episodes have been awesome. Everything feels the right mix of nailing character interactions, interweaving a season-long arc in between mini-arcs, and so yeah, I've really enjoyed it.

Anyone else think that Louis will steal Dexter's identity only to end up getting killed by the Mob?

It's too soon for that. The preview says they find out in the next episode.

I really hope so. Guy's getting on my nerves. I have no idea why they have his character in the show at all. If he's there to get killed, yippee.

Dude, what antagonist on the show doesn't eventually wind up dead?

I almost check out of Dexter during season six, but so far, I'm very much impressed by this season. I'm hoping the trend continues.

Deb seems to be falling into the classic "Love conquers all" trap. Too bad. Dexter will be out killing people in a few episodes. His subconscious is already telling him to kill more people.

Yeah, I wonder if Deb would have made up this somewhat creepy rehab thing if she didn't want to get into Dexter's pants. My guess: no. She seemed far too gleeful at doing everything with Dexter. Her pasta was hilariously colored. What was in it? Beets? It was like something Dwight Shrute would make.

I think that the show is going to go the way of The Shield. A bunch of people will know without proof and Dexter will have to spend the last season cleaning up loose ends before they find out. It doesn't even matter if he stops killing to satisfy the urge, he has to clean up his mess.

Hopefully that Wayne Randall fellow doesn't turn out to be full of shit so that Dexter has an easy out. LOL I typed that as I was watching and the episode just ended xD. Holy shit.

Have to say, that collector douchebag is really getting on my nerves, if only because we all know he is going to fuck up something big for Dexter later on, just because Dexter didn't kill him with the two good chances he had.

But other than that, yeah, really shaping up to be a good season. Deb's struggle is really great to witness, as is LaGuerta's subplot. So far, three different factions, not counting Deb are zoning in onto Dexter's secret and I really hope it doesn't end with that one dude being the fallguy for all of it.

Thank god the douche is dead.

Good episode, I was surprised at a couple of things that I did not see coming. Although,

The Russian mobster dude being able to find Dexter that fast was slightly disappointing. The tracker should have pinged somewhere at the harbor, but not exactly on Dexter's boat. I'm having trouble imagining how the next 3/4 of the season is going to last.
