Saw it twice, because I loved it so much the first time.

When they were in the Ministry everyone kept saying Runcorns name (the dude that Harry had polyjuiced into) and looking puzzled, was that supposed to be funny? That was weird.

Disappointed with the lack of Regulus' and the Dumbledore/Grindelwald back story.

We just got done watching the movie with the kids. I don't think I've ever been more fucking bored than I just was. Literally nothing fucking happens. It's a bunch of filler garbage wandering around, lots of shots of lakes and them walking in circles.

Tons of stuff just happens with no explanation, and the camera work was so dark at times you couldnt tell what the hell was being said. They mumble a lot, and talk fast, so I had trouble even following wtf was going on. Tons of yelling and running for no reason.

Even the kids were bored as shit.

Edit now that I put the post in the right spot. Ministry? Boring. Flight out of the house could of been interesting, but it was just bad camerawork clusterfucked fail. Sorry. I didn't read the book b/c the snippets I read were horrible, and the movie lowered it even more in my eyes. As was said, I laughed way more then I should have, and some of the scenes were just pathetic. When kids who've fixated on this series for years thought this was a waste of time, *shrug*

Was there a canon reason they seem to need to walk so far, then suddenly they decide they can apparate all over? Oh look just the item we need in the middle of nowhere to help wrap up a plotline.

...I'm pretty sure the exact line was:

Hermione: "Ron's not well enough to apparate yet."

    Harry: "Well we'll walk, then."

Agreed. They spend most of the time looking and acting depressed, and it's depressing. And yet the folks at WB kept talking about how the split was totally justified because there was too much material in the book to cram into one movie.

Also true. In a way, I admire Kloves, who must have said at one point, "Fuck this. Ninety-nine per cent of the people who'll go see the movie have read the book, anyway, so let's just skip the backstory." I don't even mind, really, because so much of the backstory is extremely contrived in the first place. Too bad it was mostly sacrificed for nothing. I appreciate a good landscape as much as anyone, but I'd much rather see Voldemort in Godric's Hollow (his absence totally ruined that part).

The only parts I really enjoyed were the DE meeting, where Voldemort is appropriately scary and bullies the shit out of Lucius, and the locket scene, where Evil!Hermione totally emasculates Ron. "You are nothing, nothing, nothing", heh! That was priceless, man. She should do this more often. Seeing her making out half-naked didn't leave me disappointed, either. That scene gets an A+.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. This delivered in my mind.

Considering how much I hated the last two books I seriously consider this up there as one of the best in the series.

I mean Fuck They make scenes better than they were in the book. The opening was win and actually moving. Hermione just kind of blurted out what she did in the book, but the way they portrayed it in the movie made it seem painful.

Don't even get me started on Dobby.

I'm guessing they're trying real hard not to turn Dumbledore into a villain here for the kids, so they're going to leave the majority of his backstory alone. samething with the remus story.

Book was Fail, but only half the movie through and its already :awesome
