While it may be bad news for the Marvel Superheroes, maybe it will help DC Comics and Warner get their acts together?

    Or not?

Currently, DC has been behind Marvel in terms of Superhero movie production. I think the only DC superhero movie that's coming out soon is the Green Lantern, and that's in 2010. Marvel's bringing out Thor, Iron Man 2, Captain America, and the Avengers(probably). Unless DC decides to make more superhero movies which is what I'm hoping for, then they're going to fall behind.

I'm agreeing with JoseCuervo here. Disney can manage not to fuck up some things. Miramax made Pulp Fiction and Nightmare on Elm Street.

I was a bit fucked off with it at first cause well disney does tend to fuck up good things but if they stay out of it and don't make it like the usual shit they make all should still be well.

Positives i can see is that they'll probably have a big budget for more films and a good few Marvel games coming out sooner or later.

    DC is filming Jonah Hex.

I think both DC and Marvel should try to market their low level "hero's" real cheap.
Somebody would do a "Haunted Tank" Movie or "jungle girl" flic if the could get the right for next to nothing.

I heard they were going to make an eventual Justice League movie. But that was just after TDK came out, so I don't know how that's been going lately.

Even if they do make one, this Marvel collaboration thing will probably beat it anyway... unless they can actually make a good (preferably a modernized remake) Superman movie, and combine that with Nolan's Batman.

Speaking of that, I think Gary Oldman said something about another Batman movie being on the way, too. But that's not exactly an official statement.

It felt somewhat personally profound that this occured almost immediately after I had a conversion to DC after 5 years of passionately following Marvel. The only Marvel comics I'll still keep my eye on are X-Factor and Nova.
