Never really liked Anarkia so I'll vote against it as well.

 

Just subscribed to it. Should be a nice C2 to get alerts from as an added bonus.

As for stories to be added, I'll throw my vote behind Anarkia and Shadow Play.

While Anarkia may be slightly dated, I still think it's a quality fic that deserves to be in the C2.

 

I agree. All controversial fics should go out, imo, including Bungle in the Jungle. I personally like it and think it deserves a spot in the C2, but there's too much opposition for it to be considered the best of DLP.

 

Even though he isn't a regular poster here any more, jbern is still a member with a fair number of posts to his name. Further, it was in DLP WBA that he developed as an author.

Therefore, I'd think his stories would come under "DLP Featured Author", even if they don't meet the "5-Star" (now "5 Star or Close Enough") criteria.

 

^ This. Every 'Established' Author has had all their Harry Potter work added to the C2 and only removed by request. Unless someone goes through the process of nominating it out. Something which will only turn into a huge flame war, it ought to stay

I have to say I oppose Traitorous as well. I pesonally love it, but as Taure says
1) It's a guilty pleasure at best, and not really objectively a great fic
2) The author has nothing to do with DLP, and this is to display our writers, not our library (presumably, people will be so impressed that they will want to join - then they get the full library).

So as it saddens me, no to Traitorous.

That said (and again, soz for not taking the time to check but eh, time crunch) has Belleradh been put in yet? The Grimm story definitely makes the cut, and I think some of her other stories (Snakecharmer, wink wink) should as well.

NMB: Do you have a current list of all that's in the C2 written down? Once things start to cool down it might be worth having a post in this thread indexing the thing. If you've got a document ready to go, cool. If not, once things calm down I'll go ahead and pump out an index.

This C2 is supposed to be for the best of the best - originally just the five star stories. Throwing all of the stories people like sort of defeats the point of that.

So: just because you like it doesn't mean it should be included.

It's not the full 5 stars required though, so it's up to a vote, which I'll calculate at some point tomorrow because I'm just off to bed. If it doesn't look like there'll ever be a clear winner, there'll be a decision made between the four of us who are running the C2 (Vir, Stalin's, Anme and myself).

In the meantime; DLP I have never been prouder of you as a community. Today we have crushed 6175 communities of infidel Snarry, Garry and Dramione worshippers. Not to mention the Drarry, the Lorry and the Harry (This might confuse you for a while.) Also, countless Siverus, Twincest and Maraggot (This one too) C2s.

I hail you DLP. Keep it going through the night.

Vlad; I can quite easily copy the full list for you in a single easy to utilize document. The problem is always going to be categorizing it. There are NO 5-Star, > 10 votes, on FFNet, that aren't there (Raven provided a link for easy checking). The rest of it comes down to a matter of personal taste, weeding out the weaker fics and whatever.
