I'd contest The Demon Within. It's not an awful fic by any means, but I don't think it's really up to the standards of the rest of the C2.

 

Ruined In a Day belongs. Good god, does it belong.

 

Dimension Hopping is in. Just like practically everything nonjon has written(20+ fics). That's also part of the reason why I nominated those three of nonjon to get out. They aren't up to the standards imo and nonjon already has so many fics in it that you don't have to keep them in purely because they are from nonjon.

 

I suppose a quick search at 3 AM is conducive to making mistakes. Sorry.

Make a Wish 's got a good rating but little votes.

 

Seconding Make a Wish. As far as humor and crackfics go, this is a worthy one.

There is also a sequel, The Hunt for Hary Potter, but the quality is much worse and it doesn't fit the rating requirements.

 

I think Make a Wish is up to par as well.

Agreed on Make a Wish. Surprised it didn't have a healthy amount of votes, to be honest.

 

Make a Wish and the sequel The Hunt for Harry Potter are both good if you need to waste some time. I've read both two to three times each, and I don't think it has gotten worse with time like a few stories in the library.

 

The sequel is debatable, and while good - isn't up to the same level as Make A Wish. Of course, it still 'may' be good enough on it's own merits, but I'd suggest merely placing the original in. People can find the sequel from there if they so desire.

 

Make a Wish is definitely part guilty pleasure, but that said, there's a hell of a lot more pleasure than guilt.

Five-star pleasure.

It deserves a place far more than some of what's included - including some of the ones which deserve to be in the C2.

 

I'll go ahead and oppose Anarkia. It used to be one of my favorites, but I think it's quite dated, and is seemingly abandonned without having gone far with the plot.

I also see the logic in making the C2 a big advertisement exclusively for fics DLP has produced, but in truth I don't think DLP members have as much use for that as for what we're making right now. Of course, the danger is doing this instead of a library cleanup.

Personally, I just think it's very practical to have a must-read list with an update feature on ffnet. Doesn't mean we can't insist on how many of those stories have been actively produced here though. Just having a really good C2 generates plenty of publicity.

Another thing, I agree that one-shots tend to clutter up the C2. It may be a good idea to impose slightly higher standards for those - although there aren't any that I've read in there that don't deserve to be included...

 

That's a valid point, I think. One-shots should probably be held to a slightly higher standard. 4.6/5? 4.7? I'm uncertain. Clutter is a good word for it, though. While most one-shots 'are' well done, they're also still... one-shots.

 

We're currently 328/400. I'm so fucking ecstatic right now.

However, I'm going to go ahead and oppose Make A Wish.

Anyway, if Gossip Queens hasn't been seconded, allow me; I thought it was stellar. Don't know enough about the other nominated fics one way or another to voice a definite opinion.
