Well, considering I've got other projects to work on, I'll put my name up for judging this month. Should be very interesting to see what everyone comes up with.

Volunteering for judging. Sounds like this month's entries will be fantabulous.

I'd rather read about Harry sorted into Delta House.

Then, can I expect to read about Harry joining a frat?

Can the current batch of judges be named, shamed, and banned from ever judging again please? Its been 2 weeks since the deadline for the previous competition.

Silens and Z tied for first. I was an also-ran.

Best to be forward looking, new competition and all.

    ...wut.

I don't think the judging is even done yet - only three posts in my thread. How do you know any of this, Pers?

Complete speculation on my part, though I'd have no problem with the outcome, were it to happen this way.

Don't get my hopes up like that, man, I thought results had finally come through and all :(

Currently at 4 judgements out of 5(GL, J, P, and someone else who came either before or right after J).

Considering said users are usually fine and outstanding members of our community, I feel that divulging any more of their names would be disrespectful and rude ;)

Little mistake on my part: as a fifth judge I selected someone who didn't actually volunteer to judge. So we're down to four judges. All of them have judged at least one story, but not all have judged all, so you'll have to wait another yet-to-be-determined amount of time.

The authors have been waiting two weeks for 4 people to make their judgements on a grand total of three stories?

Are these the original judges still, or newly assigned ones? 'Cause if it's the same judges, that's pretty sad.

Two stories, actually. (I withdrew mine from competition by posting elsewhere).

12 posts amongst four submitted stories (including Sesc, who submitted late), means each story is only missing one grade. Unless I'm counting wrong.

I'm slowly working on story for September contest, but in the meanwhile I had an idea for a possible future theme - inspirational books. In other words - Harry or someone else finds a book (or books) that changes how he looks at and lives his life. And not Merlin's diaries, but some real world books. Fictional novel, self improvement book, maybe a biography? I think this idea has many possibilities for fics - serious ones and humorous.
