I could get behind the idea of having multiple skins or banners.

Personally, I quite like the one we have now, but I think the banner could use a facelift. We've had it for awhile and the forum might benefit from a new look.

DLP should have a Fiction Press section for the library and maybe more enthusiasm for Original WbA. Just from a n00b standpoint.

 

Why not rename the site from "Dark Lord Potter" to simply "DLP"? We do not really need anything behind the acronym and it will be funny to explain to newbs in 10 years time what the acronym once meant.

Other then that, keep the forums as the centerpiece of DLP. I may be slightly odd here but I don't really want to read blogs and articles, I want to have debates in the politics section and check out fanfiction in the barely recommended thread.

Right now there is a clear divide on these forums. The old crowd hangs out on IRC and are here for the social aspect while 80% of the visitors just care about the fanfics and some of the threads. We do not want to lose either crowd even though the casual visitors are of course more expandable.

the name doesn't matter, DLP can stand for anything, if there's going to be a name change, just drop dark lord potter and let the acronym be definable by the person. It can be Dresden Loves Pie, Donuts Loli Perspicacity, etc.

But I understand if people want to keep it as it is, though I don't think it's wise, if this site is going to move in a different direction. You need change to happen frequently on a forum, or stagnation sets in and people start leaving.
